Very true. These "advisors" are looking more and more like near-faceless characters through whom you basically spend agents on. If this is true, that begs the question: if Cullen is an NPC, what kind of NPC would he be?
 
EDIT: "More-and-more" sounds very final.   More like, beyond that one leak, they don't appear much-involved with the actual plot. Hard to say.

I can't really see him in anything other than advisor or companion position. He is supposed to have a huge part in Inquisition, and be romanced. If he just pops up here and there, well, that would seriously take away from the romance as well as his role as a character. So he has to be a somewhat permanent character within our game. :3

I would hope that if he's a romance and an NPC, they don't do it faaaar better than in DA2.

LOL Of course, I hope it's more, too. My point was more that it could be as limited as DA2, or as awesome as a companion. Lots of room in between. And, it's all good for me.

I dunno. I think it leaves a whole world of possibility for his role as an NPC. It's not a big leap for me to imagine something just a step up from what he did in DA2: Stand around the [[GALLOWS | KEEP | GRAND CATHEDRAL | LOVE SHACK]] all day and we go visit him from time to time. 

 

You're right. I just love the interaction that we get to have with our companions. If he was an NPC of the [[GALLOWS | KEEP | GRAND CATHEDRAL | LOVE SHACK]] variety, I'd hope that he'd come to track the Inquisitor down himself somtimes. I'd hate to keep having to go to him myself to further a relationship. If that makes sense?

The only issue I have with the keeps and these advisors is that you travel and capture many different ones, so would that actually take away from the importance of these advisors seeing as you may not be forced to interact with them all that much? Yes, Skyhold may be the main keep, but it is not your only keep and I would imagine that you're not forced to continuously travel back to it.

Agreed. Maybe it's a representation of either that or the so called "Nightmare" that has been discussed before. A combination of the scariest creatures in DA could definitely constitute as a "nightmare".
