I wonder if there'll be any dialogue if our Inquisitor tries flirting with more than one LI. I mean I know we can flirt, but I wonder if it will be like DA:O where the LI calls their boo out on making eyes at other people or if it will be like ME2 where someone you try flirting with points out you're already involved with someone already, man. Either way, I wonder how Cullen would act in either instance. He won't be too please, obviously, but  wonder how he'd call the Inquisitor out in either scenario.

You know I thought this was mentioned by one of the devs that Cullen wasn't too pleased with them flirting with someone else in from of him... or was that in my imagination?

I think it was Liz, but she didn't say if she wasn't talking about Cullen. (Although she probably was :P)

edit:

Oops! Just got scolded for flirting when I was in a relationship :$ #companions and #consequence @dragonage

@Liz_Lehtonen @dragonage *claps with excitement* (Dare I ask who did the scolding? I don't imagine you're allowed to tell, but still. :D )

@bramblefae It would be no fun if I did :)

user

@Liz_Lehtonen @dragonage Oho, is it the love interest who scolds you, or someone else?

@user @dragonage *zipped* ;)

I have my ways

LOL. Aren't you in Edinburgh?

Goodness!I missed so many codes whilst sleeping...I'll never get rid of my sad panda status!

Yes, same here. After two nights of sleep deprivation I still managed to miss the codes. This morning I had to get up at 04:30 am (after only 4 hours of sleep) because I had this super early appointment. But I thought: "Hey, let's check twitter before I leave. Due to the time difference I might still be able to get a code." Except that they didn't tweet any codes at that moment. They started to tweet them half an hour later, of course, after I had just left. *bangs head on table* I will cry in my corner now.

And to keep this on topic:  I'm still working on an outline of my Cullen fanfiction and could use some input. I imagine that Cullen tries really hard to keep the order in Kirkwall after DA 2. But do you think this comes naturally to him or that he is worried deep down inside he might lose control?

EDIT: About the Inquisitor flirting with others, yes, part of me thinks Cullen won't be cool with that. But another part of me wonders if it's possible to "harden" him and if his reaction might change as a result. Maybe he gains enough confidence somehow that it wouldn't bother him so much if his Quizzie is flirting with someone else.

Oh! Hmm, I think I vaguely remember that too...

I wonder if that's a case of 'Cullen don't put up with no cheatin'' or 'Goddamn it, Inquisitor, be professional!'

Edit: How slow the forum is being for me right now is kicking my arse.

Thanks :) I probably just assumed because it was Liz lol

Still means that it's more than likely most LI's would react if you flirt with someone else

Don't worry Caja, I was on while they were pretty much spamming and missed them all for being too slow

As for you fic, I think Cullen would outwardly show confidence and have no outwardly doubt over losing control but privately and only to himself stress about it. Especially if there were any templars still very loyal to Meredith's ways and heavy handed with mages... would I guess also depend on what mages are left. I think for most part the city of Kirkwall (well nobles at least) would look to the order for some semblance of control/order. Over all, although I think he will worry because of the number of factors, but I also feel he's a natural with training kicking in and he'll just get the job done.

What I mean is... although I think he'll be a natural, I think he will still privately have concerns about losing control

My only worry about Cullen and my Magequisitor will be that if they talk about the Templar abuses of Mages, it'll always boil down to this.

I actually think it's funny that a mage!quizzy and Cullen could have an argument that just goes back and forth along the lines of "not all Templars" "not all Mages" lol

And never really get anywhere... basically the argument is the same

@R2 Thanks again! I had another Cullen dream last night but it was really confusing and I'm not really sure entirely what happened (my dreams don't often make sense) but there was shirtless (only shirtless) Cullen in it! I do know he was very very broody (might have something to do the Nathaniel fanfic I was reading)

Thanks again R2 :)

"Yes, but all Mages are dangerous."

"Well **** you!"

Then they kiss.

It's not really about 'evil' mages so much the danger of magic and how even mages with the strongest will can have low moments, where a demon might just slip through the cracks. It's a bit of a shame the narrative couldn't better show how dangerous and stressful being a mage could be to the player. Now that would have made a plot full of feels.

I might just like torturing my player characters, though.

Anyway, I don't think we have to worry about stagnant development or Cullen never addressing what happened. Everything that's been hinted at about him seems positive in the development front. I think the ficlet Mr. Gaider commented on is the most intriguing hint so far.    :wizard:

LOL! Yup. This was totally my doing. Totally. The Power of my fanfic. (I wish. <3) Or, maybe just the magic of Nathaniel Howe...

As for Cullen commenting on flirting...I hope so. That was fun in DAO. I imagine him as quite possessive, but don't want to harden him any further. I mean the hardening has already happened at Kinloch Hold and Kirkwall...

I wonder at how Cullen and my mage!Inquisitor will get along too, even though I plan to romance him. I mean, she certainly won't like that he was the Knight-Captain at the center of Kirkwall's madness. And having been hunted by templars in the past months, she won't have too bright an opinion of any of them. It might come down to how he explains his past and how he reacts in the mage-templar questlines - and my Inquisitor will be rather strongly pro-mage. But, I suppose love will find a way.

That tumblr post made very hyped on Cullen's role in DAI.
By the way, I'll almost surely play with you guys on ps4. Persona 5 was officially announced on ps4, there's no way I'm going to miss it.

I dunno, it was still very much Cullen :) I've been pouring through fanfic like crazy (very bored atm) and it must be finally seeping into my dreams!

But it never happened until after I read Knight's Bloom so I'm happy to give you credit :D  (I shall try not to be greedy! can't promise thought  )

Arggghh, I hate trying to search anything on these forums *grumble* been at it for ages. I have it in my mind that I read somewhere on these boards that if an enemy in a zone is say, frost resistant, that you can expect the same resistance for all enemies in that particular zone. Does anyone know roughly of what I'm talking about? It's driving me nuts lol. There is also the very strong possibility that I'm havering nonsense.

I actually think Cullen will have very few occupational doubts now, he's been around the block, seen and been involved in so much. I see him as battle hardened & confident with most things military but I don't see him as being cruel, single-minded or unfair. I think he will have the knowledge and confidence to stand by his decisions and opinions.

In his personal life, I see him still being reserved and quite awkward, I could imagine him spending a lot of private time, re-living in his mind, conversations, flirts etc with his LI, breaking them down, mulling over every word or mannerism just to convince himself that it's real.

Back to scouring these boards lol.

I believe it's both.

They've announced a lot of JRPGs I'm excited for on PS4!

Oh good! Here's hoping that's the case.

...Still, JRPGs, you say? Sudden temptation to get a PS4.

I'm actually excepting some mage-right arguements with Cullen anyways but I think his view could quite different from what he had in DA2. What I'd like most is that they would lead to something, maybe Cullen and Inquisitor thinking what would be ideal situation and how situation could be improved rather than just being very defensive and not getting anywhere.

Most seem to be coming on to PS3 too. But, they dry up eventually when PS4 kicks in for reals.
