Has there been any direct correlation between red lyrium and the Fade or rifts? I'm just curious and I don't know if it's already been discussed and I missed it.

We don't know yet for sure, but where there's one, another tends to follow. In Redcliffe castle, red lyrium is everywhere and the Veil's pretty much torn to hell. At the very least, it seems that red lyrium is a possible catalyst for the Veil tearing, though it isn't always necessary. In the Fallow Mire, we see Veil tears with no lyrium nearby.

Ok, that's what I was thinking too. I have seen some clips where the lyrium seemed to be almost reaching up like a plant seeking sunlight but I tend to have an overactive imagination.

Lol, definitely not an overactive imagination. That red lyrium is alive in some way, and perhaps it draws nourishment from those tears? And perhaps, once it grows, can help stabilize the rifts.

 Oh man... that hadn't occurred to me.

Well, I was just thinking that maybe rips in reality are by their very nature chaotic and unstable. Perhaps red lyrium can stabilize them and allow larger tears to grow without collapsing in on themselves.

Essentially creating a symbiotic relationship... that would be a fantastic plot key!

Whew! ;) That's good news.  I'd watched that couple of seconds enough that I'd convinced myself it was blood.

I kind of liked the idea that it was blood and that it was some weird dream.

But rain is cool too. Rain is good.

We don't know if Cullen will be the other race gated love interest.

Edit: I might have missed this since I don't read all of the news but didn't they say that the Qunari Inquisitor was a Tal-Vashot, someone who abandoned the Qun?

Gaider mentioned this on his Tumblr, but I have no idea how to link things here so:

"There is terminology as used by the qunari themselves- meaning the followers of the Qun, who have very specific and rigid standards regarding their classification of things, standards which are meaningless to anyone outside of the Qun- and there is terminology as used by everyone else in Thedas."
So they are actually Vashoth and was not a follower of the Qun, but that would only matter to a follower of the Qun.

I feel like I have to clarify that I usually prefer less blood and gore :P  DA:O creeped me out a little with all the blood spatter. People even had blood stains on their teeth.

In this particular scene it would have been pretty cool with blood-covered doors, though :P

I can't be the only one that modded that out? lol it was horrendous :( Even if you would/could get blood on your teeth, surely before talking to someone you'd kind of wipe it away or something lol.

I know they are saying that DAI won't be moddable, which is fine, I just hope there aren't glitches/bugs like that one

Especially when it happens during an Alistair romance scene...

Thank you. But I replied to xyzmkrysv's post if Cullen will be race gated against Qunaris. S/he brough up the question why he should be interested in a follower of the Qun and I only pointed out that the Qunari Quizzie probably isn't a follower anyway. So it wasn't about the terminology. But I wasn't entirely sure and now I have proper confirmation :).

What? Did they really say that? So what's the point of playing on a PC?? I was hoping it would be moddable!

All I've heard is that it's very difficult to mod because of the Frostbite engine and that they won't release a toolset together with the game. Doesn't mean that it isn't moddable at all.

Oh, me, too. On both games. I hate seeing that stuff all over their faces and clothes in cut scenes.
