OK, so I am almost positive I have signed up for every Beta opt in that EA offers (including Bioware), and I still haven't gotten one of those you have been chosen things that everyone was mistaking for keep invites.  Yesterday, my husband, who does not beta test anything and opts out of even receiving emails from any company at all, got one... I was literally like -.-   "I am going to hurt you".

 

He started laughing at me, like you're joking right and did rightly point out how I had beta tested sooo many games, and that I didn't really have any time right now to beta anything.  And then (segueing into Cullen here), he said you have too much writing, writing for your game, coding for your app, and writing fanfictions.  Who are you writing about right now?  Oh that Cullen guy... what's up with that, Im starting to feel a little jealous here.

 

I felt bad then.  I promised to chill out about the beta thing (snorts).

I just saw an interview with Melissa Hutchinson, the voice actress of Clementine on the The Walking Dead games. Not what I was expecting  . I really thought they hired a kid for that role. I'm always surprised by the huge talent of voice actors  .

Which is why I must heartily and lovingly recommend the anime Barakamon!!! (currently being aired); not only is it heartwarming, hilarious, and precious, but all the children are voiced by actual kids, which makes them extra adorable and hilarious lol

Because I'm such a heartless bastard, here's how I hope the reunion between Alistair and Fiona in DAI will go (cross-posted from the Fiona thread):

Here's Alexander, my Human Mage Inquisitor.

 

 

Since he's a rather scruffy individual by nature, this is how much he was willing to compromise when asked to dress up for an Orlesian Ball. It's relatively dressed down and his arms are left bare, so he doesn't have any restriction if he needs to start casting spells, if it turns out to be a trap and someone tries to kill him there (it is Orlais after all). Finally, the flower on his lapel is worn in remembrance for his lover, who was killed during the Breach.

it's sad because Alistair is desperate for a parental figure or any kind of family and there's a maternal figure just out of reach. Feel sad not for Fiona, but for the hole in Alistair's heart that he will never be able to fill.

 

Of course, if you don't like Alistair, then I suppose it doesn't matter.

It would be nice for Alistair to have some sort of a parental figure...he had Duncan but that ended in tragedy. BUT, if one looks at it in one way...perhaps he can show himself as a parental figure to SOMEONE, where he finally grew up and can make his own choices. That would be nice.

To be honest, I did see the one you got after 10 minutes that Allegra posted t...but I thought it was already too late, so I didn't event try.
Short answer, unless you're sure it's taken, always try to get the code !

Doesn't that kind of ignore the fact she carried him through the pregnancy, nor do we know exactly how old he was when she brought him to Marek. But regardless, could she have kept him? He'd not only be known as the child of an elf and a mage, but the chantry takes away mages' children. I've always felt she did the best she could for Alistair, but Marek was more worried about reputation than Alistair.

 

I do like a bit of continuity between the games. Since we don't get to continue playing whoever our PC was from game to game, I like a few (minor) side stories and a few characters that do make them feel connected like Leliana and Cullen. I want the vast majority of the content to involve new people and problems, but not so disconnected that it doesn't feel like it matters that you played the previous game (I'm more likely to go looking for a completely new game in that case). So I don't mind if the Fiona-Alistair story comes into it briefly (if nothing else, it would be nice if Alistair knew his parents weren't virtual strangers.)
