I had the opposite problem. When I first played DAO, my graphics settings weren't high enough for it to render the eye color. I wondered forever why I had bothered picking a color in the first place! LolMy worst problem in DAO is and has always been the eye colors. The CC is so dark, I can't really see them, then I get out into the first cutscene with good lighting and, wow, how'd she get that color eyes?

Nooooo!!! Aw, that sucks..
Did you atleast find someone else, or is the game a barren wasteland in that department?
Verging on barren, but crossing my fingers for Blackwall!

If it could be anything atall, historical or modern, what do you think Cullen could/would be responsible for inventing?
OT
I've been trying to teach my bird to say some new things.....he has a mind of his own obviously and decided the new noise for today is to imitate the seagulls, I think I might have to kill him
He sits 5ft from me and has managed to perfect the pitch, tone & volume.....typical!

He honestly doesn't strike me as the creative/scientific type. If he did "invent" something it would probably be exceptionally practical, like something to help him with paperwork (a hand brace or something) or something to help clean his weaponry and armor (a cloth made from an unlikely substance).

That's what made me ask out loud actually, I had been thinking on it and couldn't come up with something monumental or ground-breaking, I agree with you, something practical or perhaps something he may have adapted for his own use without realising its usefulness to others.

My problem was close to that, actually. In CC, they looked like varying shades of black, lol. But when I got in game to the first well-lit cut scene, I could see the eye color (even counting in CC still sometimes got me unexpected results). My graphics card on my desktop is decent, and I turn up the graphics settings for CC. I'm wondering if a graphics card upgrade is going to be on my Xmas gifts to myself...

Honestly, something that could detect abominations/demon possession (assuming we're talking in-game reality). Real world, I'm not sure I can think of something; he strikes me as more likely to have a secret creative/philosophical side than a scientific/inventive side.

Hey guys! For my 500th post I'm just going to doodle a big picture. If you want your Inquisitor to be in it, just pm or just post here and describe what they look like and their gender and race, a quick tidbit of their personality (sarcastic, sweet, etc.) Maybe what they would wear..like robes, platemail, I dunno. I haven't decided on the style so it may be really chibi or it may be more realistic. It's just for fun but I'd be happy to draw them in!
And eye color, lol. When I first played DAO it was on a really bad laptop, and the low settings made everyone's eyes black. No whites or anything. xD I thought people of Dragon Age had demonic eyes for the longest time.
This is my quizzy ![]()
Skye Adaar, qunari lady. She's pretty cheerful and optimistic
She's mage and wears mostly robes and dresses. I have done her in dollmaker and she looks pretty much like this:

I had lot of problems with eye colors in the DAO. I had to search online what the colors are, there is helpful posts about it since at least in my game all of them seem like black in character creation.

Ooh cool, I didn't see this post until Panda posted.

This is my Elidri. I tried to make her face look like Emma Caulfield, but the doll creator wasn't as good for that as I'd have liked.

Thanks ClassicBox

My inquisitor is a female human mage with long dark brown hair, freckles (still crossing my fingers for it) and green hazel eyes. She`s diplomatic and friendly. She wears light armor for mages.
Here`s the dollmaker i made of her sometime ago:

And the image in my Avatar is also very close to what i will try to recreate in the CC
. It`s from Anne Stokes:
About DAO CC, the first time i played it was in a pc with low graphic detail so it didn`t render the eye colour
.

Well scars were but during the Raptr Q&A it was said that freckles were only available on pre-sets.

I used to have a parrot as a kid and she knew how to say my fathers name, so every time he would sit down and eat something crunchy and she could hear it she would start calling him "Kurt?" "KUUURT" and she would not stop until he gave her a little piece of whatever he was eating, heh. Birds are awesome =)

I've kind of given up on long hair. I am hoping, at this point, for shoulder length hair. Blackwall appears to have shoulder length hair so that could be something for Auren and Kael. My lady inquisitors will have short hair.

But then there was this exchange about Sheryl Chee's ostensibly-custom Cadash: https://twitter.com/...311709903794177 , which mentioned freckles. I wonder if it's still on the border between in and out at this point (or was on that border during the Q&A and is now in).

I'm thinking of trading Elidri's ponytail for a nice pixie cut but I'm a bit unsure.
I quite liked the hair the warrior was shown with. I might go for that for my Esmerelda if there's a version without the shaved side.

From what I understand, it started with a woman called Zoe Quinn, who made the free game Depression Quest, and her ex-boyfriend. He accused her of cheating on him or something with a Kotaku writer (I think), but the guy sounds like a total dick so I don't blame her, and of course when a totally different Kotaku writer gave her game a good review, it was claimed she was giving sexual bribes for a good review. That of course caused this torrent of hate towards her, but I think it has since evolved into a more genuine outcry for more professional gaming journalism. But I think someone else will have a better view of things.
I'd heard about the Zoe Quinn thing, didn't realise these hashtags were off the back of that.

Imagine if the roles were reversed... a female editor reviews a male developer's new indie game. There are rumors that they slept together. Male developer gets s!ut-shamed... OOPS, no sorry, I meant male developer gets universal hi5's from bros across the internet *snort*

Always the way. Hell, even if she did cheat that's not the sort of thing that should be broadcast and has no bearing on her talent or ability to develop games. I wouldn't care if a game was made by a team of randy swingers, if it's good it's good LOL!
