Just checked, it's limited in scope in regards to who Solas and Cullen will romance. Their romance-arcs themselves are the same in size and content as the others.
Would it violate your NDA to confirm what Mike seemed to say about "core" vs. "added" romances? Due to the survey thing for a while I've been assuming Cullen/BW/Josie/Cass/Dorian/Sera were the starting 6 and IB + Solas were "added", but this post made it sound like Cullen wasn't always supposed to be in.

Cullen wasn't originally going to be a romance. I don't know if that means he was added to the advisors late or not. All I know is we got lucky!

Uh I don't want to complain but the info about Solas and Cullen just destroys my qunari characters completely and I was most into playing female qunari. I can't just get excited about Blackwall and Iron Bull. Both are very sturdy, older men.. not my type nor they fit with my qunaris. Nomance really isn't option either and now that Cass isn't bi I'm not into doing f/f romance with rest of girls.
Whole thing just hits me a lot.
It's sad that Cullen won't romance Qunari and Dwarves, I guess we saw it coming though. Well, human mage me!Inquisitor it is then!

I feel like crying. ugh. I can complain about Cullen in here at least? This just sucks. And for many people as well, gays were wanting to have more options, lesbians and straight males as well. Lot of disappoinment probaply around BSN now.

Uh, well, not exactly. A bisexual female elf has six options. A bisexual female human has five options.
I, as a straight male planning to make a straight male character, have two options. A gay male gamer making a gay male character has exactly as many, as does a gay female gamer with a gay female character.
This isn't the "death-knell" for LGBTQ representation. If anything, most of us are on a level playing field; it's just the humans and elves that are favoured.
