sorry for being OT... but finally finished *my* version of the fem inq.. here is a WIP ... more on the "raunchy" theme to come soon... lol

My problem with getting either friendship or rivalry with Anders was that he and my Hawke agreed and disagreed on different major subjects. In Act One they were headed toward full rivalry because Hawke thought sending mages to the Circle was generally the best way to protect them. In Act Two she started getting friendship points because they shared an anti-demon stance. Act Three was back and forth, then she got a big hit of rivalry points for refusing to help Anders when he told her he wanted to sneak into the chantry. (She helped with the quest up till that point, but that was when it became clear he was hiding his real intentions.) So she didn't end up with a strong friendship or rivalry; the approval sort of hovered around the middle.
I don't like metagaming stuff like that, so I just accepted that my Hawke had a complicated and difficult relationship with Anders.
It wasn't until recently that I realised you can get him to tell you his plans if you press him enough about it, LOL!
When I first learned that you could give Fenris back to Danarius, I was like, *Alistair voice*: "Why would you DO THAT?!" lol
Then I found out you could kill Brother Genetivi and I was all, "Why?!"
I am a massive softie in these games. I can't be an ass, and it's ridiculous, because I spent a couple of years roleplaying the most hateful and angry halfelf ever spawned when I was playing Everquest, but now-Nope. I don't want to make anyone sad.
As for Cullen-this is speculation, and probably at least a little projection, but I don't see him having been celibate all this time. I don't see him "wielding the sword" all over town, certainly, but I just assume he's had adult relationships, if only casually. He strikes me as very honorbound, rather than non-sexual.
Lastly, Phate Pheonix-your fakebanter makes me laugh, always.
Never stop. *grin*
I kind of have the same impression as well,I think he's definitely honorbound,so the reason I can't see a probable liaison last for long and become more serious is his dedication to the order and if it interfered with his duty in any way he'd probably have to end it...Which I assume would've probably happened at some point considering the amount of responsibilities he had as a knight-captain.Besides his attraction to the mage pc in origins indicate that he's not non-sexual,more likely a workaholic.
I really love the scars. But I think I've made my thing for scars clear in the past. What class (and specialisation if you've gone that far) is she?
I always like to play as a dagger rogue.. so in my mind.. thats what she is
, and ty for the compliment .. at 1st I made her without scars and I thought she was "too perfect" fr a world at war so I thought I might make some blemishes on her
*best gif EVER snip*
THAT IS TOO GOOD. TOO DAMN GOOD. Oh gawd, air! air! I need air!
sorry for being OT... but finally finished *my* version of the fem inq.. here is a WIP ... more on the "raunchy" theme to come soon... lol
I love it! The scars really suit her. ![]()
It makes me sad to see Merrill sad or angry so I'm always 100% friendship with her, as for fenris(who I never liked) I always kill him at the end
I really liked Merrill. My Hawke liked Merrill. But my Hawke was also terrified for her and was trying to prevent her from getting herself or other people killed, so she saw a need for tough love.
And to be blunt I as player am apparently fairly comfortable with smacking people down like metaphorical disobedient puppies when I'm afraid they're in danger of harming themselves or others. ![]()

Agreed, he clearly has a libido if the demons were able to tap into his inner most thoughts about Amell/Surana. Hell, he's a young hot blooded male, of course he has sexual desires! And if GE's tweet was anything to go by he's clearly not shy once he gets going!
Y'know the biggest difficulty I faced in DA2 was the romances. See, in DA:O I fell hook, line and sinker for Alistair, literally I liked him so much that every time I tried to romance someone else he'd say something daft/adorable/funny and I'd ALWAYS end up falling for him all over again, but it didn't matter so much because all the companions were very capable and I didn't need to worry that they might get themselves in trouble without my Warden around 24/7 once they all went their separate ways.
When DA2 came around the LI's had a lot to live up to, but for me and sadly none of them hooked me in the way Alistair had, however Anders became my canon romance option because I'd liked him in DA:A and he fit well with my canon sarcastic male mage Hawke. BUT, I realised quickly that all the companions were outcasts and had various issues/problems/situations which made them all vulnerable in their own way. Now, having played DA:O I knew that by the end of the game eventually my Hawke and his companions would all go their separate ways, except for the love interest, so I had this real crisis where I felt bad (and still feel bad) for romancing one over another because I knew that the only way to guarantee that a companion would be safe is to romance them so that they'd stay travelling with him. So, now I'm concerned that the other companions I didn't romance could end up in a bad way... especially when DG mentioned that Fenris' lyrium tattoos could cause him problems without someone keeping him on the straight and narrow, and that letting Merrill keep the mirror could spell trouble in DAI etc.
I'm guessing that sort of thing won't be much of an issue in DAI since all of the companions are important and hold some sort of power, which will keep them safe enough.
I still think Isabella had her sh!t together more than most of the companions. (most being only varric) ![]()
On Twitter they tweeted the weird picture of the cloudy demons with the caption "Everyone has secrets. RT and we’ll tell you ours."
... Do you suppose that they're actually going to tell us something?
...Maybe? They'll probably tell us about a new enemy type, or something to do with the Fade. Perhaps both. The new demon type they were talking about.
It wasn't until recently that I realised you can get him to tell you his plans if you press him enough about it, LOL!
I knew what he was going to do, from a metagame standpoint. I know what saltpeter is. I watched people blow up tree stumps with small amounts of it when I was a kid. When I saw how much he wanted to gather and then he wanted to sneak into the chantry... I knew. I was just surprised by how devastating the explosion was; I didn't realize it would do that much damage.
My Hawke wasn't able to get him to tell her, but she was smart enough to realize he was lying about his plan being a ritual to separate him from Justice.
Hey all, Happy Easter!
I'm so out of the loop these days. Part of that's due to not wanting to be too spoiled though ... So happy to hear about romanceable Cullen and super happy to hear about the non superficial cameos!!
As for murdering folks, I rarely do it. I did kill Logain in DA:O, but I didn't do it to any of my companions in DA2. If everyone doesn't love me 100%, I guess I'm okay with it, but I do always try to come to an understanding with all my party members. I always feel like we wouldn't be on the same if we couldn't see eye to eye. Interesting characters are what I'm looking forward to. I feel a little surprised that they made Cullen a romance option, but I can't wait to explore everyone's story lines.
You mean we can't get to 100% with every companion in DAI? Well I'm still going to try my damnedest! EVERYONE HAS TO LIKE ME.
In DA2, I actually had a hard time getting Carver to 100% of rivalry or friendship. In my canon playthrough I tried for full rivalry but just got over the threshold. I actually had an easier time getting him to 100% friendship on another playthrough.
The highest I got Carver in friendship was IF I played as an angry person, a bit self centered and not-as-mage-friendly Hawke. I mean he LOVED the response to the slavers in their ancestral home: "I think that makes me a bit angry". Yet he didn't want Hawke helping Anso until we learned we were dealing with slavers. lol! Fickle little brother. Since HE was around this meant Hawke was a mage, so I had to canonize it in my head as Hawke being a reluctant mage that preferred to dual wield instead. It was a B!TCH to play because Hawke was specced against her core attributes. I never do that. But it was a challenge. There was a limit to how high a weapon she could wield and I used a lot potions and always had rogues on hand for flasks. The ONLY spells she learned were healing and anything fire related. Buuuut, Carver was made a GW and he was around 90% friendship by the time he left. Talk about a high-maintenance companion! lol!

She looks awesome!
Y'know, I hope they bring back the mirror of transformation in DAI because (depending on what our protagonist's background is) I want to start mine off with no scars at all, and then over time add one or two after she's been involved in a few heavy battles... plus, I like to change the hairstyles up every now again, especially when there's a whole bunch of cool ones!
It wasn't until recently that I realised you can get him to tell you his plans if you press him enough about it, LOL!
You can?! Huh. There is still so much I don't know about DA2. hah
I still think Isabella had her sh!t together more than most of the companions. (most being only varric)
Agreed, but she also had a vulnerability to her AND she does tend to do really stupid things and get herself into needless trouble, so I still worried about her lol.
You can?! Huh. There is still so much I don't know about DA2. hah
I didn't know you could side with Sister Petrice and keep her alive, until recently either!

What?! I feel like I havent' even played this game now! *laugh* Apparently, it's time for another playthrough. ![]()

Agreed! I think he has the desires but is also capable of a massive amount of self-control.
He just needs an Inquisitor to show him that it's okay not to be totally in control all the time. ![]()

Wow!she's truly awesome Adela!I'd romance her...

Well I hope he has had some experience of life by Inquisition. He's getting on a bit by now and I'm not sure I can handle the responsibility of being the 'one and only' of someone who has held off on relationships for that long. It's just too much pressure! ![]()

Brings a whole new meaning to the saying "holy sh!t" doesn't it! ![]()
I was totally clueless. I literally thought he was trying to do some sort of spell to separate him from Justice, LOL! ... It worked out pretty well, since I played my Hawke as fairly oblivious anyway!

Aveline had her sh!t together, I think
Yeah, I knew her and Varric would be fine, plus she has Donnic to aid her if anything bad happens. I was talking more about the LIs.
Agreed! I think he has the desires but is also capable of a massive amount of self-control.
He just needs an Inquisitor to show him that it's okay not to be totally in control all the time.
Or he needs an Inquisitor to show him that in some contexts it's TOTALLY okay to be in control.
