Not going to lie, Skyhold is one to the main reasons I'm excited about DAI. I loved Awakening, and at the time this whole concept was very limited. Now, based on what they're saying...I'm in heaven.

You and me both.  They offered strongholds in SWTOR and I've been on a credit-wasting binge of decorations to make each one of my strongholds absolutely as perfect as I can make them.  It's becoming rather pitiful, actually, sigh.  I know I'm going to go batty nuts over Skyhold in DAI.

I think a huge bonus for me romancing Cullen is at least I won't have any self-imposed restrictions on my party make-up. In DAO & DA2 I always had my LI in my party, won't have that problem in DAI :) Cullen can be all snug at the castle, doing housework and making dinner, warming my slippers, waiting for me to get home .

RL hubby is poorly with a tummy bug, I should probably go and look sympathetic

Gnight all :)

Okay, Cullenites. This is getting too spoilerish for me now and I won't be around that much anymore. I will still peek with one eye closed though because I don't want to miss the 3000 pages celebration. I will also check my private messages and the social groups. Speaking of which, it would be awesome if we could get this

Spoiler
thing going :).

Going to miss you! Don't stay gone... <3

Because being a templar means you're evil who picks on poor mages.  <_<

I like mages as much as the next person, but come on...templars are not evil. Least not all of them.

It seems to be an edgy tween thing. C'est la internet.

Initially, I didn't care for them too much and always sided with the mages. However, during my recent playthroughs, and perhaps my growing interest in Cullen, made me want to look at it from their perspective. Which now leaves me in the grey area and want the two sides to work together.

Well think about this way.

If the mages get their way?

That happens, I think people tend to forget Mages AREN'T popular in Thedas.

Templars prevent that, the circle prevents that.

While there is that risk, killing the mages aren't the answer either. I came to that conclusion for the middle approach in my Human Mage. The Circle is needed, but needs to change in order to keep the risks of rebellion down.

Now, unlike others, I mostly despise Tevinter. They are the worst of the mages, much like Ser Alrik and even Meredith are the worst of the templars. The extremes of their ends.

I agree, hence why i support the circle no matter how restrictive it has to be after this rebellion.

Also did you note the mage that was being impaled on the pike was making noises similar to that of a person having a difficult time in the bathroom?

It always reminded me of that, i never could take the scene seriously :P

I hate Tevinter too. It's pretty hard to like them, imo. But there's plenty of reprehensible mages in the south as well.

I think that the ability to influence the mage/templar thing is a great feature of DAI.  We've all read the debates for YEARS now and finally we'll be able to explore different scenarios.  How cool is that!

I know that people argue with such passion for one side or the other and to me that just goes to show how effectively Bioware has hooked us all with the security vs freedom debate inherent within the conflict.  I can't wait to see what they've done with it in Inquisition, it's a real hotbed of potential drama and I LOVE the drama.   :D

I think...Cullen's a deeply conflicted man who made some bad choices out of fear and because of the pain he suffered. But one thing I love about DA is that grace abounds. Cullen has the capacity to make better choices, and I think he will.

But at the same time, those bad choices have soured me on him as a LI. Please don't hurt me.

Do you think that would still be the case if he was a new character, and he just relayed to you what happened to him purely from his perspective? Because if I knew a lot of the LIs when they were younger and more inexperienced, I'm not sure if I would still like them as much.

Well, I don't think they need to be very restrictive...just fix their procedures so the mages who can control themselves, who wants to help others and do good, aren't punished for just being mages.

But that scene...ouch....

Oh, there are. Uldred is one such example. Idunna from DA 2, and Quentin. And Anders too, even if I haven't hate him as much as I did before. Tevinter is just the prime example of what happens if the mages are allowed too much freedom.

It's after a war, there will have to be measures to prevent that violence from occurring again i expect measures will be...punitive when it comes to matters of sedition in the aftermath.

Like i said its just funny to me because of the noises.

Probably not actually. I generally don't like returning characters as LIs because I already have an opinion and expectations. And I generally love the morally shady, torn types. But it's different when I as a player witnessed it. Maybe once I see him things will be different.

IN my playthrough there will either be peace or the Mages will be free, simple as that. I don't hate the Templars, I even understand their fear but at some point paranoia takes over the once rational mind...Meredith who I really liked as well. To be honest I would had sided with her IF she did not go crazy.

Btw, if Thedes tries to go all Hitler on mages then there is NEVER going to be peace, so it's a tight rope to tread. If they try to come down too hard then there will be literally no peace...regardless drama is going to be spewing like fire from a dragon.

LOL, and that's what I've been doing all day... between work shifts, anyway LOL! Next up: Skyhold video... and then multiplayer/Inquisition HQ if I can find some deets on it.

Speaking of which, wasn't there some sort of Multiplayer interview video that went up earlier? Anyone got the link?
