Yeah, I so would. Even if she is crazier than a cat covered in honey.

I'm late to the party but blame different timezones.
After reading the gameinformer article I'm really excited about Skyhold. I was worried that we would only have an affect in a minor way, not really choosing styles and such, thought it was just going to be tokenish. It means that it can really become *our own*. Love the fact we get to pass judgement as well although I think my quizzy will find it tedious.
Also the comment about renovating a tower to accommodate mages or templars depending on your allegiance... ugh there goes my hope for a middle ground!

I watched your romance video, Lola. It was a good effort, but I suggest using more dirty talk next time. I was barely aroused at all. ![]()

I'm just having a proper look at the article now, I love that the place is a total crud-hole when we first get it, hilarious! I also like that we don't get it immediately and have to spend some time based in Haven for a little while before hand... I wonder where the Advisors 'n' co will hang out around there? I bet either Leliana or Cullen will be in the Chantry.

I still think that we might be able to have a middle ground. The real question is, would such a middle ground weaken the Inquisition? I'm hoping to play as a moderate myself, pick up the real Templar and non-Blood Mages, allied forces etc...I really don't want an extremist Inquisition one way or the other.

Oh I'm not worried. They already said that there's a Chantry style sometime somewhere in the past. And in the pictures at the bottom you can see three versions of the same room. The one with all the incense statues I think is the Chantry one for if we support peace and the Circles.

I think that has added to the appeal of it to me as well especially when we don't start or head the Inquisition from the start as well... something maybe as the leader we work towards and steer.
If Cullen's going to always be in the chantry my quizzys going to to awkward flirting with him in the chantry lol She will have to learn to ignore the statues of Andraste following her every movement with their eyes....

Back to companions talking about the Cullen romance with your quizzy...I'm expecting Leliana to mention it first, she was such a gossip in DAO! Varric will no doubt also have something to say, and I'm sure that with her anti-sentimentality stance, Vivienne is going to be quite negative about any romance.

To be honest, I'll be surprised if Leliana is still a romantic and giggling etc with you about Cullen. I'm expecting her to give advice much like Wynne first gave about the warden and Cullen. I'm not sure what will happen but either way I think Leliana will surprise me with whatever advice/comments she makes

Yeah but now Leliana's kinda the crazy bird lady of the crew, hanging out in the rookery and such. I think she'll know first, certainly, but maybe not let on that she knows until later. I think Sera, Varric and IB are the ones most likely to bring it up in a teasing sort of way. Vivienne I think would perhaps be all Wynne, but maybe in a more calculating sort of way, but still eventually come round to the idea.

That was something I was majorly concerned about when the survey leak descriptions first surfaced. I didn't wanna be thrown straight into the action like we were in DA2... I need a little build up to really bond with my character first.

I do wonder how Cullen will feel about that. On the one hand mages, but on the other hand the Templars betrayed the Divine and ran off to slaughter mages brutally so I can't imagine he'd be in full support of their behaviour, lol. Maybe he'll surprise us and be pretty neutral about it?

I think it just made me realise I will have to pick a side, because up until I read that I was hoping to be able to find middle ground - pretty idealistic really. And I don't want to side with mages just because my quizzy is a mage but then I don't see her siding with templars. I suppose that's good in a way being undecided so I'll make my decision purely based on what happens in game.

I hope we won't be able to actually flirt with everyone from the get go, I kinda prefered the DAO approach in that (providing you didn't purposely rush through) the proper flirting didn't happen until you were at a certain friendship level. I'd definitely like to see things paced out again for DAI.

Yes, I agree. So much has happened and is still happening on that front, I have no idea what I'm going to do until I get a feel for the current situation. I've always been so pro-mage...but I just don't know.
Actually, I think this game is going to be full of a lot of HARD choices. I can see myself agonizing over ever little thing... ![]()

I don't mind the flirt options being available early for those who want them, I suppose, but I hope you don't HAVE to flirt early and often to be successful with a romance - and this is especially true with adviser romances like Cullen. I'm hoping to have a slow, steady progression from professional respect to friendship to romance between him and my warrior Trevelyan. My mage Trevelyan would also go slowly with him (or any romance interest) because of her temperament. Despite my reservations towards the possible ending of the Blackwall romance, I think she may fall for him first, as he seems less reserved than Cullen (from what very little we know of them both, to be sure). I'll see how things go when I play her.

Well, it's a case of distinguishing it between subtle and full on. For example, in DA:O you could be playful with Alistair from the get go, or have some light hearted flirting with Zev etc, but the real obvious flirting-with-intention didn't start to happen until your friendship was at a certain level.
Whereas in DA2 Hawke was like: "I'm gonna get in your pants" right from the get-go to the point of ridiculousness, often during really inappropriate times... which was funny, but a bit much. What made it worse is, like you said, there was only a small window to cement your intentions and since we couldn't just chill out and get to know our companions like we could in DA:O it was literally a case of jumping on the poor sods immediately to push yourself onto the romantic plot path, LOL!
As a personal preference, I wouldn't want to even be able to start light hearted flirting with them until you'd at least spoken with them properly. Like, I'd prefer not to be able to flirt with Cullen or have Cullen flirt back until we've at least gotten the immediate issue of "omg, everyone just died and now we're stuck working in Haven" out the way... I just wanna get beyond the acquaintance level before I start pushing my luck, LOL!
