By the way, do you think Cullen will move in with the Inquisitor when romanced like Anders and Merrill did, or keep his own quarters like Fenris?

I would tend to think that he wouldn't move in right away because he would see it as a major step in commitment he wouldn't want to take lightly, but he might be willing to do so later on when he was confident the relationship was going somewhere.

I don't think he'd move in. I think he and the Inquisitor are going to need that separate space, both for the sake of not flaunting the relationship to the people below them and just to give themselves some space because they work together. I can see them doing whatever the medieval equivalent of keeping a toothbrush at the other's place is.

I thought about this, I think he perhaps would move in but not until the relationship is cemented and solid. I feel professionalism would be a key thing for Cullen especially in the earlier days of the relationship. I also think he would be very respectful of his mate and not want their relationship to be idol gossip for the bar. I'd like to think that once he is committed and knows that it's mutual that he'll be shouting it from the rooftops :D .

And, you know, I never realized how much the fraternization angle bothered me. I realize that all 12 are under our authority, but I find myself worrying about it with Cullen in a way I don't Blackwall or Solas. I had trouble romancing the VS too.

The way I see it is that as the leader of the Inquisition we get to make the rules. Thus, fraternisation doesn't exist if you're fine with it, lol!

Given how every rando apprentice in the tower seemed to know about his crush on the Warden (I especially love "Cullen said it was the quickest, cleanest Harrowing he'd ever seen and that she's very talented and brave!" "Well, he WOULD say that" -- combined with the "how deep into my thoughts they must hve delved" or whatever in Broken Circle, I think this implies he thinks he's much more subtle about that sort of thing than he really is), I think this is very plausible. :) of course, he's older and wiser now, but love makes a lot of people act silly and young anyway. :)

I think he might not move in with you even in late game, with the relationship locked. He tends to be very professional and proper, and at the end of the day he's still your war general before the eyes of the Inquisition. Putting "being your boyfriend" before his duties might demoralize him before his troops, and undermine your own authority before your advisors, embassadors and articulators. From all his previous lines in the general tone of "I don't like this but it's what I must do," I get a sense Cullen will always put duty before personal feelings.

We can always headcanon that after the whole saving the world thing he mellows down a bit and allows himself some simple pleasures like, you know. Marrying the woman he loves, maybe sharing her quarters. (oh the indecency! ;))

It's not really about Cullen--he's a big boy--but the men. If, for example Scout Harding has concerns about something I did, Cullen's going to be the person to talk to. I know that Lavellan/Cullen can distinguish between that and Inquisitor/Commander, just need to make sure the men know too.

Honestly, as long as both parties involved make it clear that this an entirely healthy and safe relationship, I don't have any issues with it.

There is always the possibility that if things start to look grim, which is indeed likely and the end of the world seems nigh, he may throw caution to the wind and say "sod it, why not, you only love once".

A girl can dream right?

It's probably just my weird personal hang up. At lot of them seem to be conspiring against Cullen. Damn it, I had that Qunquisitor all planned

Generally, "fraternization angst" comes right after "lyrium angst" on the list of potential Cullen romance arc components that would make me fall asleep. It joined forces with mild Carth syndrome to make Kaidan's ME1 arc not all tht great IMO despite him having what I consider the hottest character model and voice in a BW game.

I'd love for him to have no hang-ups atall in this game, be his own man, live for the moment and to hang with what anyone else thinks. It's still a possibility that could happen to a certain degree. :)

You know, this makes me think.... we know (I really wish I didn't but...) that

Spoiler

so wouldn't it be cool if we had a scene like the Cousland attack if you sleep with Dairren or Iona? Minus the whole arrow to the throat, of course. But like, you wake up to the noise with Cullen in your bed, and you both scramble to get some armor on, run down the halls cutting people up and barking orders to your men, etc. I think that'd be a really neat way to show that you and your love interest do indeed share intimacy on a daily basis, not just when there's a plot-moving conversation.

Also I just really need to see my Quizzie waking up next to Cullen in bed in any way or form the game will give me. >>

Yeah, I would headcanon Cullen and my Inquisitor getting married later on once the world is saved. :) (Assuming they're both alive and still together, of course.)

I wonder if Cullen will speak of our Inquisitor in the same way? It would be rather sweet to hear npcs talking about complimentary things Cullen has said about her, or gossiping about how he's clearly got the hots for her etc.

I'm not terribly worried about the fraternization thing; that's a very modern concept along with professionalization. And it isn't as if there isn't already a similar model - Andraste's husband led her armies (we'll ignore the whole betrayal thing, of course), so our forces probably wouldn't blink. Things could be more complicated with those close to us, of course, the other advisors and the companions.

Or little comments about them sleeping in the same bed together/sexing it up on the regular like they did in ME3 with Kaidan telling Shepard to wake him up next time she/he leaves for a mission early etc.

I'm actually hoping that Cullen will approach the Inquisitor to take the relationship to the next level after the attack on the Keep. Especially if she/he/they nearly get themselves killed in the process. Nowt like a little near death experience to make you reassess a few things.

And it's possible she was also getting it off Shartan too. Double the fraternisation!

I just made myself sad earlier today imagining Cullen and 'Quizz having a quiet moment together after making love; they end up talking about how they both might be dead at the end of all things but that's way too depressing a future to behold, so instead they make up this fantasy world where after they defeat the big bad, they get married, become proper Lady and Lord of Skyhold, have cute little quizzy kids (and Cullen worries that fifteen years drinking lyrium might have made him unable to give her heirs, but Quizz says shush, this is our fantasy remember?), and their children all have ramen noodle hair just like his (Cullen: noooo why would you do that to these poor kids???), and run around the keep poking at the dragon skull throne with wooden swords.... and then they realize they're super late to the morning meeting with Josephine and Leliana and scramble up for clothes and end up at the meeting looking like they definitely, absolutely, just had great morning sex, and Josephine is giving them the Evil Eye of the century.

And then I was sad because that's never gonna happen in game. :(

I was a bit sad that the LI's are less likely to start the flirting on their own initiative this game, but I hope they make up for it later on in the game by being forwards. I don't want to feel like my Inquisitor is Johnny Bravo, hunting them down
