Ha, I got them all wrong! I thought the Tevinter design would be the 'pro-Templar' choice, (of course forgetting the statues outside of the Gallows were Tevinter in origin), the Kirkwall design being the 'pro-Chantry/Circle' choice and the Orlesian design was the 'pro-mage'. That said, I was confused by own speculation for that last one.

Yeah, I keep thinking all the designs are based on different factions too, lol.

Could you imagine picking the Tervinter one, only to have Varric and Cullen walk into the room when it's complete, spot those statues and be like "nope!" And walk straight back out again, LOL!

I would just about die laughing if it turned out our little backwater mabari-smelling Fereldan noodle is super secretly a fancypants Orlesian, son of a great noble house forsaken his name for the Order and everything. He couldn't get any more cliché prince charming. :P

Maybe they packed him off to a life in the Templar Order because he kept showing his family up by being naughty at swanky Orlesian parties when he was young, so they shipped him off in the hopes that it would teach him some discipline.

And now he's part of the Inquisition and well known for dealing with the problems in Kirkwall, his family want to introduce him back into the fold because he's now something they can be proud of, thus the OTT armour they had made especially for him, LOL!

Just...no magic blood Cullen. That's how Al ended up dead.

I asked because I have only managed to create one Inquisitior, whereas so many of you have multiples. I actually found it really difficult to do lol although I had loads of helpful tips and hints from the guys here. I was letting my mum read through my notes on my quizzy, she got all emotional as she thinks she saw much of me in them. I actually hadn't realised I had done that and now it has been pointed out, I'm not sure I want to play her lol.

I'll have a bash at maybe trying a middle of the road approach, keep some aspects but try and radically change others. Thanks for your input guys, it helps a lot :)

That would be priceless! I wonder how quickly you can change the interiors, you could totally troll all the companions if you could change it with the click of a button

 Yeah, no matter how pro-mage you want your Inquisitor to be, if you're romancing Cullen, I'd advise against that design. Just until we know more. ;)

LOL this would make his and my Trevelyan's backstory the same, oooops. Double trouble "let's get rid of our problem child" team!

At least they would have much to talk awkwardly cough around and pretend not to know about.

I would nope out of that room - no more Kirkwall, ever again.

Cause all my quizzys are so different I think I will pick different interiors for everyone. Will make them to seem like quizzys own places as well and not just Skyhold that's similar for everyone :)

I wonder if there is going to be Fereldan option since Valpur would most likely chose it XD Tevinter could fit for Tamarin, maybe that'd make his boyfriend from Tevinter happier and less homesick I guess (depending on how much Dorian really likes the place). Michal probaply likes Kirkwall style best since he's from Free marches and Skye is left with Orlesian, which looks pretty good for him.

Well, if there's a cut scene dedicated to him staring at those statues, giving them the evil eye then I'd totally do it!

Inquisition: "Cullen, you've been staring at those statues since you got here. Your food is going to go cold"

Cullen: "... I just don't trust them, look at them with their shifty eyes"

Inquisitor: "Wha-"

Cullen: "Maker! Did that one just move?! I swear it blinked!"

Varric: *Bolts out the door*

Inquisitor: "Um... k."  =]

I'm really curious as to what other options are available. I bet there's at least one race exclusive theme that I think will really work for another race.

Well yeah, but we know about that one! :P Maybe a Ferelden theme? Or a dragon hunter theme?

If it's an option, I'll probably go with D, lol. Dalish woodcarvings or Fereldan or Orzammar.

Actually, what are the odds that Blackwall is a Fereldan native (and Cullen isn't)? I think one of the devs said he likes dogs.

The only things my PCs consistently have in common with me is that they hate cooking or cleaning, lol. In some ways, they tend to be the opposite - uncomfortable with children, particularly babies (where irl I always end up in the floor at parties with the toddlers climbing on me.)

The hardest part of character creation for RPGs is giving your character flaws. Because you're playing the hero, you tend to make them super duper awesome and wonderful and Mary Sue-ish, with only a little off-note irrelevant character flaw like "she doesn't like peas" or something like that. Try giving your character real major character flaws and see how you and her react to that. She's a stuck up rich girl who thinks poor people smell. She thinks dwarves are ugly. She distrusts elves because they're either servants or thieves. She hates all mages indiscriminately, even when they're innocent. She hates all templars indiscriminately, even when they're right. She's too emotional, makes a mountain of drama out of every little criticism, and can't stand to be talked back by her advisors. She has a messiah complex and believes her own hype too much, thinking herself the next coming of Andraste. I don't know, anything. Just try giving her a really ugly side to balance out everything else about her that's great (and should be, otherwise what kind of hero would that be, right?), and see if that doesn't instantly make your character a lot more multi-dimensional, more complex to for even yourself to deal with without falling comfortably on the easiest patterns every time.

Let us know how she progresses, I do love hearing about other people's characters. ^_^

I'll make a decision on specs once I know more about them.

But I kind of like the idea of the elf warrior being a templar.

I might write down different personalities, traits, faults & such into an a. b. c. format and get hubby to randomly pick lol that could be .....interesting, although I'll just end up ignoring him if I don't like what he picks

Gosh the only thing I'm pretty sure about at this stage is her specialization will involve a magic stick

*grumble* I'm really bad at this :(

In RL I don't do babies or toddlers yet I'm like a magnet to them  I'm the awkward, stiff looking climbing frame toddlers use for giggles lol. My neice literally sits on my foot with her arms wrapped around my leg so when I walk she gets a ride lol.

I don't know if I'm odd but I don't have really problems with giving flaws to my characters. All my Wardens are pretty unlikeable now that I think, Raven was just aggressive, rude and impatient and cheated Morrigan with Leliana. Wuther was coward which made him to do lot of mistakes. Catherine was just overall lazy, uncaring and selfish. I wouldn't describe any of them as hero but somehow they got job done lol XD

What I have planned as current flaws for my Inquisitor wouldn't be as big as those but:

Skye: Oblivious, too trusting, over-optimistic.

Valpur: Doesn't trust people easily, tends to keep things to herself, has hard time to convey emotions.

Tamarin: Selfish, power-hungry, narcistic, insecure, has hard time to trust people.

Michal: Spoiled, prejudiced, messiah-complex, intolerant, very religious.

Lol they sound horrible when I just point out all their flaws XD Should be fun though!

EDIT: Oh, got top!

Valpur kind of sounds like my IQ, Clair. I would really like to post more today but some witch or warlock must have put a hex on me because my throat feels like it is full of cotton balls, I can barely breathe through my nose, and worst of all I have an annoying eye twitch! An eye twitch....Maker I love my mages but so help me if I find the one responsible there is going to be a show.

I'm not at the flaw creation stage yet. I don't usually have to consciously create flaws. Usually it's enough for my DA characters to be themselves. Aeducan fathers a kid who nearly ends up casteless? No DR. And so on.
