I haven't read over my inbox properly yet Asperath but I'm just now checking out the thread Laidlaw made on the romances. She is finally starting to make a recovery, thanks. She has always been susceptible to getting croup when she has a bad cough and was a bit harder for her to shake this time. Hopefully she will grow out of getting as she gets older like her brother did.

Also,for some reason I always seem to miss the most interesting discussion and speculation.I agree about the lion being too much of an Orlesian symbol for Cullen.I guess we'll have to wait and see what's up with his family and heritage.

I'm hoping (for my own benefit and bias) that he isn't Orlaisan and it's got more to do with his current position.

Croup is horrible, I'm glad she's getting better

 

EDIT: Btw Lola checked with ML and he told her that Solas and Cullen were only  "...more limited in scope" due to their race gating.

 

Yeah, it's only limited in regards to who they'll romance. The rest of their romance-arc in regards to content, dialogue and romantic-plot related screen time is equal to the other romance options.

Wow, so many other threads on here are so awful about Cullen, I'm taking refuge in here!! (Then again, I'm pretty used to it - my other favourite characters are Anders and Kaidan. )

 

Anyway, I was wondering - what do you think the demons tempted Cullen with in DAO if the Warden was not Amell/Surana? I was assuming he didn't simply have a crush on another mage because all the mentions of his crush - in the codex, by the random apprentices etc - don't appear in that situation. Do you suppose it was a scenario like the Templar we see who's been convinced by the Desire Demon that she's his wife and they have children? Or another scenario entirely? Perhaps family of a different sense - parents or similar? He's still quite young then, after all... I wonder if it'll vary in DAI for different imported Wardens, as it did for DA2? (I hope so.)

Agreed. I think Cullen has the crush anyway whether you play a female human/ elfish mage or not.

I've been playing around with the Inquisitor section of the site. Are elf arms supposed to look like that?

If you check, the elf warrior and rogue (both gender) have bigger arms then the mage, and the female human/qunari mage have the same problem of the elf mages as well. Considering the we saw a female elf mage made by Laidlaw with better arms then the elf mages in the site, I guess it's the outfit that restrict the arms, like Morrigan's robe restricted her left arm in DAO.

Yeah, chances are he still had a crush on one or both of them, but they died or got made Tranquil/whatever if you didn't play as either of them.... which, in a way was probably worse LOL! But yeah, he likely won't mention it if your Warden wasn't one of them.

Could be a glitch or something they're still working on. I know a lot of environment and shader devs have been moved over to work on the characters etc to improve things.

Just the face, which is a shame but I can see how it would be awkward for a game so cutscene/interaction heavy to accommodate the countless different types of body shapes we'd make if we were able to adjust that too, lol.
