I don't really care that much about being a different race. It was just that the qunari background grabbed me.

But not enough that I wouldn't feel horribly cheated by realizing 25 hours in that I adore Cullen

Ugh, I don't know. My kingdpm for a good and proper leak of the romance arcs.

It's because they ruin his fancy pauldrons. Dwarves pull on them to bring him down to the right level and Qunari pull up for the same reason.

Those pauldrons were expensive...

I was terrified when I first saw those pauldrons.  Maybe I'm just insane, but Anders had permanently ruined fluffy pauldrons for me.  And now here's DA:I Cullen, all scruffy and blonde and cute too, wearing those monstrosities...I'm irrationally afraid that they'll eat his sanity too  :P

I sincerely hope there isn't a leak of the story arcs, I don't want to be spoiled for them any further than I already have been with storylines. Bloody Cameron revealing in interviews about the Divine's death, the Skyhold attack and stuff like that.

The ME3 leak was invaluable for me. There was something in it that would have been extremely unpleasant to process had I gone in blind. Even reading the script lead to shaking hands and queasiness.

So my own preference would be not to have any surprises at all.

Admittedly, I'm glad I didn't see those endings blind. However, I wouldn't want those sorts of spoilers or script leaks for DAI because they know not to make the same mistakes that the ME team made.

Nope! Please no spoilers on romances and story arcs  :?. I prefer to know the story as I go playing.

I think it was Eli Roth who said that spoilers are a kind of anesthesia; they dull the emotional blows of the story, either good or bad.  That said, there are some kinds of blows that are worth dulling.  I knew going into ME3's original endgame that I wasn't going to like it, and TBH the spoilers made it a lot easier to get over.

I have more faith in Dragon Age's story, though, and the things I've been spoiled for in DA are things that in hindsight, I would rather not have known.  Bit conflicted on this.

I like spoilers myself. And being in the UK, it'll be very hatd to avoid them anyway.

It was actually a character thing. I'd made a list if what I didn't want for a character--and got it. Besides, it'd never occurred to me to kill Wrex otherwise. If something from DAO or DA2 is necessary for an event I want, I would like to know that now.

I'm a bit weird when it comes to my spoiler love.

I don't want to know the first part of the game and the endings, but i don't really mind mid-game spoilers. :P

Hah, those are the ones I find most boring!

I want to know any and all pitfalls that stop me from romancing Cullen and friendmancing Vivienne and Sera though.

I like to do a couple blind playthroughs, and then I start cheating like a maniac. :D

The worst thing is when I watch a Let's Play on Youtube, (because I'm a masochist), and it's obvious the player knows NOTHING and I'm just left screaming at the screen.

I'm all for spoilers as we'll and getting the game 5 days later gives me plenty of time to get properly spoiled. :D

That or they say so blatantly wrong that you just want to punch them. There's a lot of LPers I don't watch because they constantly make 'stay in the kitchen' jokes or homophobic comments and it drives me right up the wall.

There's one guy who was pretty funny about it though: ClementJ642. He was doing a Punch Out let's play and went on a tangent that ended like this: I have a lot of gay friends. Well, not a whole lot. None that want to have sex with me, I don't think. Maybe they do. Do gay people find me sexy? Tell me! Tell me!

I like to be surprised when I'm playing a game (for the 1st time, then I start to search for all possible outcomes), even if it is a bad surprise. For example, In ME3 I was so moved by the death of Mordin, or when I thought Grunt had died; in DA2 I was so shocked when Anders exploded the Chantry, if I knew beforehand it wouldn`t have had the same impact on me. But this is just my personal taste, i fully understand that other people like to know spoilers ;).

A quick link, I thought you might like to know there's a fresh poll running of preferred love interests to romance following the reveals:

Not gonna lie, I got a little buzz of seeing Cullen leading the poll right now. ^_^ Noodles for everyone!

Ugh, I can't even remember the game he was playing let alone his name, but he was just the worst person. He made a really ugly character, died a LOT, commented on literally every female character's breasts and whether or not he'd 'bang her', and was moronically questioning even the simplest of ideas the game was throwing at him. I would have watched someone else, but for what seemed like the longest time, he was the only one with a LP out.

Oh and he talked through the bloody cutscenes. No wonder he had no bloody clue what was going on!

I don't mind some spoilers, especially when there's something you may be fine with as long as you aren't hit with them by surprise. It's a fantasy game in which bad things can happen, but in DAO the broodmother (especially how she's created), the CE orphanage, and the CE origin can be a serious trigger for some people if they hit them without warning.

Was it Darksydephil? It sounds like him. He always tells the game to shut up when a tutorial shows up and then complains that the controls are awful.
