Sure. The idea I have in my head is just a game of Wicked Grace between Cullen and my canon rogueInquisitor (the same one from my fic). My Inquisitor and Cullen get to know each other a little better through this game, and my Inquisitor learns that there's more to Cullen than meets the eye... and that he's surprisingly and ridiculously awesome at Wicked Grace

 

Templars and Templar recruits have to have some way to relax, right? I mean, they're not on duty all the time, and even if they were raised by the Chantry or they signed up/were conscripted in some other way, they weren't always Templars, and there's more to them than that. I've got this little mental image of a younger Cullen winding down with some other recruits and Templars in the barracks or the break room somewhere, playing Wicked Grace and cleaning them out of their gold. Or going out for a few drinks with some friends (but not as often when he becomes Knight-Captain, he just doesn't have the time and there's so much to do and there's a part of him that thinks that it might be a little inappropriate given his status), or reading. Star-gazing, passing interest in astronomy. (He lived in a huge ass tower in the middle of a lake with not much around to look at besides the lake, the forest, or the small little town. So why not look up?) Music. He might even be a little bit of a romantic at heart, and grew up on stories about knights and heroes in shining armour, chivalry and heroic deeds... and he might even still have a soft spot for those stories still. And now I'm rambling. :S These are all things I think he'd be into.

I was assuming the restriction was on the "man" behind the templar, and I was instantly going to ask if it could be the "boy," and relate to his past rather than his present. Your concept is adorable and clarifies to me that it does not have to be restricted to any particular time in his life.
We are getting up there in pages though ... I better start brainstorming. d:

Thank you. And yeah, it can refer to any time of his life, any aspect, anything. A part of why I'm excited for DA:I is that we'll finally get to see Cullen beyond his duties, and we'll actually get to know him better. I think we chose the theme in celebration of that. I'm excited! I'll have to remember to set some time aside for writing the fic though. :S Otherwise I'll get too caught up in school and miss it. I can't wait to read yours, when the time comes.

Nah, if you like the tattoos you should keep them. I was mildly joking. It doesn't help that the character creation screen has dark lighting in a dark room on a black background.

I think Niall looks pretty good.  I've started playing around with tattoos for my Hawke, as well.  I like the ones that loop around his neck, actually.  That you were brave enough to go for a full facial tattoo is a mark in your favor, I think.

Conversely ... I never used the default Hawke / Shepard faces. If they look as good as the punk haired human or the tattooed female elf we've seen so far though, I might this time around.

I am also one of those horrible people who are going to shape an Inquisitor to look like their Warden to metagamingly mess with Cullen's head. Just with different color eyes. d:

Given the speed at which the thread has been coming lately, we'll be at page 3000 in no time! To the people are who writing fic and drawing art just for 3000, how are you all doing? :S I've got a vague plan for a short fic, but I haven't even started writing it. 

 

I haven't written any further than you have beta'd for me so I probably should get my bottom into gear and start writing the smexyness in the war room that I promised! I'm glad that the thread hasn't moved so fast that I missed page 3000 entirely. I was slightly worried that I'd get back on here and all the hoopla would be all done and dusted.

I know right? With him being one of the first two LI's to be announced I just assumed that they had always planned on him being one. It never crossed my mind that his romance was one of the result of the extra production time the DA team received. Close shave indeed! But even though there would have been a huge part of me that would of been disappointed in not having him as an LI, I still would have been pretty stoked with having him play a much larger role in the game and would have flirted with him every time even if it was only to end in getting shot down.

It would have been pretty gutting for his loyal gals and guys, but at least Cullenites dont have to put up with hearing he's all about the "fan service" anymore and he is there because his story is obviously interesting enough for the Devs to want to expand on his character, and the romance happens to now be a pretty awesome bonus. Yep im really interested to find out about what he's been up to, and what he thinks now? When i romance him its def going to be with a mage. Just to make things more of a headache for him

Oh Maker I know! I remember how ecstatic I was when he was announced. I can only image how disappointed I would have been to have him so close yet so far in yet another game (even though his role would have been substantially larger regardless).

Yep. It seems like race-gating didn't affect much. I did change my vote from Cullen to Dorian though ^^; I just feel little weird still that instead of my qunari, my human quizzy is going to romance him and I'm not sure how they fit together yet which makes me less excited : /

I wish I have the same confidence you are. The description of what is happening in the hinterlands makes me think I'll lose Hours deciding which faction support, since they're both being idiotic .

Im sure that when you meet him in game it will all fall together. That Dorian though   your lucky qunari quizzy
