If I recall what the devs have said correctly, we'll be questioned on the "why" of our decisions a lot when we get back to Skyhold, and our conversations about why we did or chose something will/should have repercussions with them, both approval & romance-wise. So I think he will question not only that decision but others, but it will be our reasons that will cause him to like or dislike the decision we made. In regards to this particular choice, he may even be leaning pro-mage and get more riled if you choose the templar side.

 

I really like that the "why" will come into play with our companions, because we hardly ever got to explain our reasoning behind making certain decisions.. we just did or said something and our companions reacted to that. I'm sure there will instances of that as well but I do like that we'll be able to say, "Hey, I sided with the mages but kept *some* oversight for them because they could actually grow and flourish if they weren't kept under a boot heel all the time," or even, "I didn't really care who I sided with, I just want that situation over with, I'm sick of hearing about it!"

 

Being questioned about our motivations back at Skyhold also lessened a bit of my apprehension in regards to advisor romances - they'll still be in the thick of things, asking about your latest quests/missions when you get back, so there will be many chances to speak with them and build relationships.

 

If you give him a good enough answer then he'll likely at least respect it, even if he doesn't altogether agree with you. I think our response and approach to our actions and outcomes will play a big part in how our companions and advisors respond to us in return.

You know what I just thought up a question...I'm getting DAI on my PS3 but then I will be getting a PS4 like literally a month later...so I will either just buy another copy of DAI or upgrade it to PS4...but my question is; do you guys think that DAI will be on one disk for the PS3 and Xbox 360? I hope so, and I think it will be but I have a little doubt hamster running around in my head, lol!

Concerning the discussion about mage marriage:

 

I believe it is indeed not forbidden, just really frowned upon because they don't want magic to become more prominent than it already is. I think I read somewhere that in certain Circles mages are allowed to petition the Chantry for a marriage, and sometimes it will be allowed. Kinda like the Jedi. It is still certain though if a mage has a child from that union, the child will be taken away. Of course, not every marriage must have children, but I imagine for those that do it's a hard reality to face. 

 

About Cullen's stance on the mage/templar war:

 

I agree with Lola, if you give a good enough reason I think Cullen would respect your decision. To me it's still up in the air on how he would react, but he has learned a great deal the past ten or so years so Cullen would have the experience to consider both sides of the issue. If something drastic was done then I can see him getting angry. Kinda reminds me of Garrus in a way - he was a hothead, and you could make a decision he doesn't agree with, but after thinking about it he comes to an understanding.

in that case i have no idea? Mine is on ps3 but thought xbox took two. GTA is huge and full of "living" data, but DAI will be pretty big i imagine. Cant be to far off though?

Random rambling thought after playing DAO this afternoon.

 

Greg Ellis was also the voice actor for Cathaire, the general of Andrastes Armies. (Gauntlet quest - Andrastes Ashes.)

Cullen has lion armour.

Andraste is shown in the Wiki as wearing lion armour pauldrons.

 

I think BW are having a little joke with the lion thing...
