Hmm, based on the accent choice... and that the accents don't seem to vary by race, I don't really see why this points to Ferelden as compared to anywhere else. Heck, Isabela's and Duncan's accents were "british" sounding and they're from Rivain.
Duncan was born in Highever, I believe, and was only part Rivaini. I think. Could be wrong. Hmm...
And Isabella travelled a whole lot, so...!
And I think one of the devs did say that the accents are default to race but they can be changed if you desire. So I'm going to guess Human/Elf = British. Dwarf/Qunari = American.

OK, yeah, I thought you got a choice of accent, but I suppose it makes sense that one would be default.
Anyhoo, I guess I just feel like DA does the typical fantasy thing where everyone from the fantasy land sound british. Except the dwarves. LOL Doesn't seem to tell you all that much. Like, never thought about it before, but Morrigan has an accent and her mom does not.
I'd have to disagree on at least the food thing-- that's not to say what I think is right or that you're wrong on the week thing (and I'm CERTAINLY not saying the longer the torture the better or that just a couple of hours of mental torture is something to scoff at!), but considering the tower had to house a LOT of mages, I imagine it has a damn plentiful food storage. More than enough to last a long while.
Sadly, we just weren't given enough information to make an GOOD educated guess, but... I think I remember at least the Templars talking about how they were running out of supplies?
Though Cullen did mention in DA2 that he was in that cage maybe weeks, even months. But he was being traumatized, and even a short time of it could feel like a lifetime. I think they leave it vague because Uldred has already started his rampage when you get to Lothering and depending on when you choose to do the circle, weeks or months could have passed.
LOL Not a quick question...
Well, it was quick to ask haha ![]()

Though you can still get the 'almost a year' dialogue even if you go to the tower right after Lothering. ![]()
Quick question for everyone: why do you like Cullen / what attracts you to his character? For me personally I think it's the fact that despite all of the crap that he has been through he has (or rather seems to have) gotten through it all. It makes me wonder just how easy or difficult it has been for him to get over the fact that Meredith, a figure whom he obviously respected, was a fruit-loop.
Admittedly I really didn't give him much thought until DA2. I only played the mage origin a couple of times, I had the dalish mage mod so I used that more if I wanted to be a mage. It was only when I realised he was the same guy from Origins that made me take notice of him, and even then I didn't recognise the name, it was only when he mentioned being in the tower that it clicked he was that guy. So I guess it was that connection to the other game that drew me to him at first.
Then knowing what he had gone through and even though he was a bit more hard on the mages, he still had that little part inside him that could be reasoned with. He wasn't a zealot who called for the death of all mages, he wasn't an abuser. he just seemed to me a man devoted his role but at the same time showed some compassion for those in his charge. The little looks and head tilts, and soft words exchanged between him and my Hawke, kind of helped that attraction come along too. ![]()

lol I know, totally messed up, thats why I never talk to Wynne enough to get to that point, until much later in the game. You get the same inconsistency talking to that dwarf woman (can't remember her name) when asking about Jarvia. She will say it hasn't been more than a year since she took over the carter.
I think I might've found that way funnier than I should have. ![]()

That made my morning.
Thank you!
And Happy Dyngus Day to any fellow Polacks out there. ![]()

The food is usually kept in one place. It's either the basement, or it's the stock room on the second floor, where the tranquils were. My guess is the basement, and then team Wynne could get the food, but it would make the mages on the upper levels very hungry. I suspect abominations don't need to eat, but not all mages turned, so they would have to go down and try to break to Wynne eventually. It may be that there was something to eat in both places, and also in the templar quarters, but I think the most of the supplies were kept in one place. And then we have Greagoir. He and his men were cut off tower supplies, but they could cross the lake and bring more.
And there is also the matter of Greagoir sending the Annulment request to Denerim. With Civil War and the Blight it would take some time to get the answer, but I believe that the Grand Cleric would have signed the permission immidiately, just because how dangerous it is to wait.
I don't insist on this version, of course. The game was designed so that you can do the Broken Circle after all other quests, and Cullen and Wynne will still be alive, and Niall will die no matter what. It just seems the most realistic to me that the rebellion could last no longer than a week or two.

Ah, this talk reminds me how much I miss Greagoir.
I hope we get some kind of news today or tomorrow. I'm not expecting anything big but at least something to tide us over till Friday.
Please Bioware alms for the poor! Where is thine Easterly spirit? Alms for the poor!
I hope it's Friday's PAX video. Must. Have. Context!
