I keep going back and staring at this tweet over and over....
and wondering just in how much trouble I'm gonna be with Cullen if I try to get some from Blackwall or Josephine before him. What if he's like Sebastian and won't take any flirting at all with anyone else? I'm terrified of locking myself out of his romance just for flirting.
Even Alistair was more chill about things and let my Cousland have a few tumbles with Zev and Leliana before they made it official...
But then, I do love the idea of Cullen getting jealous of your attentions. Alistair's jealousy dialogue was really cute, it made me love him even more for the way he handled the situation without resorting to sl_t-shaming his girlfriend; I hope Cullen's is just as sweet. Being casually flirty with her friends is a big part of my Inquisitor's personality, so I'll definitely be getting this interaction with Cullen too. Can't wait to see what he has to say (please don't be a jerk, please don't be a jerk), and how you can respond to that (I hate lying please don't make me lie to him about it, let me just be honest and apologise and promise it won't happen again).
Any of you guys also doomed from the start to get a Noodle jealousy call out too?
Depends. Probably not with my Trevelyan mage who'll be my first to romance him, she's pretty reserved (unlike most of my PCs), though she MIGHT flirt a little before she and Cullen get serious. If I go for a second Cullen romance, she'll probably be a warrior and yes, she'll probably get called out at some point at least for flirting. Hopefully, as you say, it'll be like Alistair who handled things remarkably politely (and went along with the Isabella threesome with surprisingly little coaxing). However, my IB or BW romances are much more likely to involve other people at least briefly, or I certainly hope it's possible to be a cheerful and harmless hedonist for at least a little bit before settling down.
In the future, banks will start making you play DA:I when you apply for a loan for a mortgage on a house.
"I see you have excellent credit scores... and you're very stable financially. However, before I can approve you for a mortgage, you're going to need to do one more thing."
"Sure! Whatever lets me finally take the next big step in my life!"
"You need to play Dragon Age: Inquisition and run an air-tight ship, so to speak. You mentioned you wanted to invest in a fixer-upper... well this is your chance to show us that you'd be a worthwhile investment!"
"Uh... what?"

I do this all time (more like sleep with Isabela, sleep with Anders, finally sleep with Fenris last so his romance doesn't deactivate because of the others). It works out pretty well, despite the awkward break-up scene with Anders.
There's one thing about doing this -initiating a romance with Anders (even by just flirting) but ultimately locking in the romance with Fenris- that I both love and hate.
I would rather, if we have this kind of reaction again in DA:I, that it's not so... vicious, though. I understand Anders is a special case because he's pretty much lost his mind at that point, but Leliana didn't react very well to being dumped either. Zevran was a lot more gracious about it. When I inevitably have to break things off with Blackwall and/or Josie for Cullen, I hope they'll be more on the gracious/diplomatic side too.
How did it go? I want to do that and have her choose Fenris out if the two.
This *points to spoiler below*. Basically, if you flirt with them both, they both will be in love with you for the rest of the game and it will make them slightly more antagonistic towards each other in the third act (there will be conversations, no matter who you picked).

I know I wont, I'll probably have to google it to see how it is. I am terribly faithful from the very first flirt. Oh except with Fenris, he couldn't seriously expect me to hang about for 3 yrs after he dumped after sex lol. Had Anders waiting in the wings on that one. I am assuming though Cullen is going to affect me like Alistair did and I could never flirt with anyone with him.

To be fair, none of the DA:I LIs strike me as being nearly as nutbar as Anders got by Act 3. And they all belong to the Inquisition, which has to lend some degree of professionalism. Your party members in DA2 were just sort of your posse ![]()

Actually, I could never resist flirting with Bann Teagan with Alistair right in the party; he's kind of oblivious.

OOOHHHH I LIKE IT! i love the idea of your LI getting jealous of other companions, somehow it brings a lot of realism into their personality (what companions in da2 lack a bit, but it's my subjective opinion) it really broke my heart when i had to tell alistair that i prefer my hot antivian crow over him, even if he just ninjamanced me and i had been going straight for zevran from the very beginning ;p
still for my first playthrough with me!quisitor, i'll probably have blinders on, and go only for cullen, and i'm gonna be mega-super cautious to not **** up his romance arc, because i don't want to find in the 3/4 of the game, that i accidentally cheated on him (baby i wouldn't ever do that to you! ;u;) xD
but i'm curious how he displays his jealousy to his loved one (:
Ah dang, I missed the Cullen tag-lines poll!
I was going to suggest #YourManeMan
don't worry it was just for lulz (: and i like your idea! actually i have chosen few catchphrases for myself, that i'm gonna use (:

Oh yeah I forgot about Teagan, but I always play that as him flirting with me. I just asked him a simple question and he totally took it the wrong way so I had to humour him
Cause you know, he was Alistair's uncle, sort of.

What bugs me about the Fenris romance is that his memory won't return during the booty-calls he has with Isabela if you don't romance him, the implication being that he has a more meaningful and deeper connection with Hawke? Which is okay with me and makes sense. Except that the double-edge sword of that is that the deeper connection they have makes it even worse that Fenris is so callous to hit it and quit it, then disappear for three years without a word?!
At least when Isabela left during the time-skip between Act 2 and 3 you can infer that she left Kirkwall because she needed to lay low until the heat from the Qunari invasion (which was indirectly her fault) died down?

I always pick the wrong lines and never get him flirting with me. *pout* I only ever realize this well after the fact. I wonder how old he's finally supposed to be in DA:I and if we'll see him. The years have always been kind to him. Ahem. ![]()

The thing is though he doesn't actually disappear...so you can have him in your party the whole time between him walking out on you and when he apologises. He even has a little something to say about it during the legacy mission (which is really funny btw). But in all that time not once did he have the b*lls to own up and say he was sorry until three years later.

If there was ever a moment I wanted to smack Anders, it was then. I don't agree with what happened with the Chantry, but damn what he says about Fenris...
I just thought I'd tell y'all that you have more pages in this thread than any character thread from ME3 save one
Just impressed me

Omg he is so cute, especially to a mage
I tell you now, if Cullen wasn't available in DAI but Teagan was, I don't care how much older he would be I would totally have him lol

Teagan should be around 42-45 now, according to the Stolen Throne timeline.... which, you know, is also the age of current romanceables Solas and Blackwall. He's still ripe for some smooching. ![]()
.......I'm legit torn between wishing DA:I gives me the option to flirt with Teagan again because I TOTALLY WILL and maybe not because, Maker, I don't need to give Cullen even more reasons to give me a sit down and have That Talk. I'm sorry Cullen baby ilu I just have a longing for Teagan at least as old as my crush on you

I'm exactly the same way! Except even when I want to romance other characters, I always end up going with the one I romanced before. I like Alistair, Fenris and Garrus way too much to NOT romance them. And I know it's going to be the same way with Cullen, but I guess it's not a bad problem to have ![]()

So what does he say? Anyone got a youtube link?
Cuz I know I won't ever play it that way. ![]()
You can flirt with Teagan? How did I miss that? What does he say?
My first character is always a sarcastic and shameless but harmless flirt. So hopefully that doesn't come back to bite me in the end. Hopefully the fact that most of our companions are older means they will have a slightly more response to it other than "you flirted with someone else and have a sexual history before me? we can never be."
And I always flirted with both Anders and Fenris in my playthroughs. I did not realize that if you sleep with any other character after Fenris that he will never return to you though. That frustrated me on my first playthrough and was compounded by the fact that he became involved with Isabella. I got to be the jealous one for once.
We've all been waiting for Cullen so long though that I'm sure once I even have an inkling that the romance has kicked in with my first Inquisitor, that will be it. No one else will even catch my eye.
At least the first time around. ![]()
