But the reason I normally side with Fenris concerning romance...it didn't feel as weird as Anders. His was sweet, but I got more emotion with Fenris.

I think you had to be a rivalry with Fenris and obviously be a mage, so I think that's how that dialogue comes to be...unless my mind is just imaging what could had been said in the game; I don't think so but eh.

I think it was nice that Fenris wasn't too much of a jerk. I liked how he was still respecting your character even with the rivalry . It's even funnier that his respect with Hawke went as far as not doing anything to Merrill or Anders, even when Sebastian suggested it.

Although, in all my writing I've been having to do lately, I've only gotten 2 more paragraphs of lovely Cullen done.  I feel so bad, but I've been kind of putting it off because I'm this huge prude.  Kiss scene, or even holding hands, Im all like "that is obscene!!!!" and blush and just don;t even... (sighs)  The struggle is real.

 

(I'm one of those people who covers eyes during scenes in movies, and skips over the smut in fanfiction).  I need to get over this so I can least write a kiss or something!  (bangs head on wall of prudeness)

Now I'm all worried that Cullen won't be where I left him. It'll be like a big stressful game of "where did I put my car keys?". Hopefully, like you both said, they will give us some more info on how the advisors work before it ships. 

 

I will say I'm kind of looking forward to not feeling like I have to take Cullen along everywhere lest I miss some fun dialog. 

 

Methinks that one of you amazing artists here needs to draw Cullen arriving back at Skyhold to find the entire Inquisition standing outside, because they locked themselves out and he's the only one who ever remembers the front door keys. That image is just too funny to exist solely inside my mind!

I like the idea of it. It's a nice flip of the old "Honey, I'm home" thing- I hope to return from a grand adventure to see Cullen in a frilly apron, pacing back and forth in the castle kitchen, metaphorically wringing his hands with worry. When I walk in, he needs to drop the giant pot roast he was tending, and burst into tears, saying, "I was worried sick!" Something to remind me of a 1950's TV series, you know?

 

Actually, it saves me from my own hidebound tendencies to nearly always include my love interest in my party, just in case there was some one time banter opportunity.

He could do that, but Leliana and Josephine might bag on him for doing "women's work." Were he to demand that they do it instead of him, they might say, "Oh, no. You're doing an awfully fine job. Besides, I kind of enjoy the view, if you catch my drift."

 

Most likely Skyhold will have servants that do the cooking and cleaning, leaving Cullen to spend countless hours perusing the library and writing treatises on battling mages and demons. I can picture him now, wandering the library when he comes upon a book w/ a particular title which catches his fancy. He picks up the book and reads the cover, "Hard in Hightown: Siege Harder. Hmm must be a book about the siege of Kirkwall. Varric Tethras? I didn't know he was a historian."

 

Well, that extra year extension allowed them to implement Cullen and Solas' romance-arcs (among many other things) so I guess he was just gonna be like Leliana prior to that.

Ah, I guess that would make sense. They probably needed the extension to polish the game as well. What's Leliana's role? She's supposed to be like the Inquisitions spymaster, no?

That he started out an average, dime-a-dozen temple kid recruit and rose through the ranks fast through determination and unwavering devotion to the Order alone speaks well of his personality too.
