I wonder if maybe we have the ME3 endings to thank for how amazing DAI is shaping up to be?
I think so. I think that part of the problems with the endings stemmed from a discrepancy in what BW believed the fans wanted ("speculation for everybody") and what many of us actually wanted (closure). Of course, other factors such as lack of time contributed. Sure, there was plenty of nerdraging, but the endings also opened up a discussion about what the fans wanted in (and expected from) a game.
I get the feeling that they've really, really tried to listen to the fans after ME3 and DA2. We know that they're not rushing DA:I, and it's also clear that they're trying to adress some of the criticisms from DA2. I think they're doing all they can to make DA:I absolutely awesome, and I'm positive it will be.
