OMG, seriously, they used someone's fanart?? Pfft. And my opinion of gaming journalism continues...
As professional as ever, LOL!

At least they're consistent?
Truth!
That's messed up! I wonder if the artist is aware or if they were compensated. ![]()

I dunno? Could be worth letting her know, I guess!
I dunno? Could be worth letting her know, I guess!
I would but I no longer have a DA account due to "The Incident™".
I dunno? Could be worth letting her know, I guess!
Someone told her in the comments. I don't know if she did something about it though.
It was on the official XBox page in Spain...they did not state it was fan art.
That's fan art that a gaming website used in their DAI article. It's not actually from the game at all.
It's f***ing ridiculous!
I can guess what happened. Some idiot journalist saw the quality of the picture and assumed it was official art, because fanart is all poor quality. *sarcasm*
Articles using peoples fan art without permission nor giving credit? Shocker!
Yeah mine...disliked the wardens. And yeah becoming Chancellor was great for more influence even if she wasn't really needed when the two of them got along. Not all Couslands indeed
My lady elves became Teryn though. The elven mistress of the king with land and a title? Scandalous
They weren't as secretive as my female noble about the relationship (I mean considering there's rumors in Kirkwall about her XD)
Yeah, I kind of like the Chancellor option, because frankly, I don't trust Eamon's judgement to be Alistair's chancellor. I ended up with a HN warrior and a HN rogue, both married to Alistair, one as Chancellor and one as Teyrna because I liked the idea of two Cousland Teyrns at the same time (and when your Teyrna is known to be quite expert in poisons and being unseen, you're probably going to be cautious about intriguing against her).

I mean, they'd never do that in regular TV journalism or political ads... Oh, wait...
I hope they release a meet the VA video for the rest of the DA:I crew, they're quite hilarious. I'd really like to see Cullen's and Blackwall.
Quick question, can a dwarf become chancellor?
As far as I know. I *think* I took that option the first time through with my dwarven noble before I reran and let her die gloriously (the better to leave all three of her guys mourning her)
Taking other people's work and use it without permission is.. O.o'..
With all this talk about the Hero of Ferelden (not to mention about Hawke), each and one of us have many world state differing with one another and damn.. I wonder how all of those stuff will influence on DAI? Even just a miniscule ones would probably impress me still.
That being said, this probably has been mentioned several times already, but I still gotta say it, this thread really feels nice XD. We have people of different strokes (just like the Warden thingy. Some wants to be Queen, some don't think it's their cup of tea. Others like being the Mistress and Chancellor, while another part prefers to just not make Alistair king and just be two Happy Wardens) and the best part is nobody's bickering about that XD (e.g: the usual 'you sucked for thinking/choosing that' *_* oi..)
Btw last I red the OP about who could romance Cullen, I think it's supposed to be human and elven (not dwarf) female. Though I know that everyone on the BSN would already know that, thought I might just point it out a bit
Cheers
It's a friendly thread, which is why I'm most comfortable here (I'm fascinated with Cullen as a character, but he has never been very high on my LI list I'm afraid). I think most of the people who hang out here enjoy the diversity of approaches and respect them. And yes, there was some disappointment here for several people who'd hoped to romance him with qunaris or dwarves. I'd originally considered a qunari or dwarf with him myself, but it wasn't a painful change for me the way it was for some others.

Unfortunately, Cullen's may never see the light of day. While filming it, next door had Slipknot recording, iirc, which has obviously caused a bevy of audio issues. Last I heard they outsourced it to an external company to try and resolve it.
They should dub it over like a bad Japanese movie. It would be hilarious! ![]()

Yeah, I'll be utterly shocked if we ever see Cullen's.
On chaste vs. celibate, again, FWIW, I do think the devs use them interchangeably. David Gaider describes Chantry priests as "celibate" while the Jennifer Hepler short story about Sebastian has him lament, "Princes aren't meant for chastity" about having to take vows.
In any event, I hope we get some kind of closure one way or another for anyone who romanced him. The mentions for rivalmancers in the DLCs were slim pickins. *sniff*
i suspect that, given the need for an heir, Sebastian could get dispensation to sleep with his wife, at least until she'd produced an heir and a spare. ![]()

You mean like when Fox News used an image of a bombed out Washington DC as "proof" of the evil intent of various groups overseas... only for the average internet gamer to try to hold in their laughter long enough to point out that it was just concept art for Fallout 3?
(Which is even more ironic, considering that one of the most evil groups in Fallout 3 was the fascist remnants of the US government, who Fox would probaby love)
Journalists really need to start double-checking sources, because twitter and the net seems to have made the media frickin' lazy lately?

Edit: For top Cullen and amusingly relevant face-palm ![]()

Seriously, it was interrupted by Slipknot? If that's true, I kind of want to hear it anyway.

Seconded! Including a random scene of Greg Ellis fighting robots... for some reason?

On chaste v. celibate, I do actually think they were using the terms interchangeably, but I think they also left themselves, intentionally or not, a linguistic loophole. I think a lot depends on Sebastian's actual status within the chantry. And presumably the Chantry would consider releasing someone from their oaths anyway for dynastic reasons. Wasn't there something in DA2 about Sebastian having to renew his oath (at least I was told something about it), so there's also wiggle room on the idea of a "limited duration" oath, maybe?
