WOW! Is it bad that that female elf with her adorable freckles looks almost exactly the way I imagined my Lavellan mage would look?!

 

And... *pokes two fingers together* we keep getting cute girls; would it be wrong to ask them to make a cute guy for once?! That elf guy was pretty derpy looking Supposedly it looks like the dev who created it, but I checked his Twitter and he's a cutie, so I'm gonna have to disagree with that one lol

Given the STRONG negative reaction to required tattoos, I'm glad they tweaked them so they are (hopefully) a little more palatable for everyone.

Personally, I like it the way it is. It might get too crowded if you add too many people but if other followers would like that I'm fine with it too.

So do I even if I'm not best pleased about having them forced on my lovely Elfquisitor, (though I've decided I really want the Ghilan'nain one Merrill had, (maybe a simpler version though)). But to be fair, the one around the eye is the only vallaslin we've really seen.

I wonder who's it is. When we saw it on Mike Laidlaw's I'd honestly thought it was a vallaslin that was stopped midway through the ritual.

Naw, I would be encouraged that you can probably make someone look as kickass as you want!

Ah but I hope they haven't scratched the original vallaslin and traded them all for these vague tribals we're seeing now. The old tattoos had a lot of meaning, you could recognize the elven deities behind each one, and that they covered the face spoke of their importance to an elf willing to commit to the culture. These new ones are just kinda... generic scribbles.

 

I mean, fine, scribbles for those who don't care for Dalish culture, but I'll be très upset if they just trashed all the old tattoos too.

I have to agree with this... being a massive Dalish fan and all (I mean one of my inquisitors is practically a religious fanatic). 

 

But we haven't played the game yet, so let's just wait and see.

Me too. I enjoyed the original tattoos (I swear I sometimes feel like the only person who created a HN with face tattoos and still married Alistair in DAO, because Fereldan needed a barbaric queen that freaked out the Orlesians...).

My Dalish Inquisitor is supposed to be very pro-Dalish as well

I had my heart set on giving her the simpler version of Elgar'nan's vallaslin (faded out quite a bit, because it's pretty intense) because she wants vengeance for all the wrongs the elves have suffered.
