@CuriousArtemis: oh thank goodness, I'm not the only one with the "can't break away from my fave LI" syndrome! For ME1 I toyed with romancing Liara but she was just a little too in-awe-of-you-Shepard!! for me. Kaidan never did it for me in general. Then Garrus was an option and I was all: WOOO! Lol if I just focused on the voice and awesome personality/story I could happily ignore that he was basically a raptor, which give me the heebie-jeebies. thankfully appearance isn't a big deal for me! I always found Fenris a mite too "emo" looking for my RL tastes but loooord that voice. And I just really enjoyed his story. And he doesn't blow up a bloody chantry with nothing I can bloody well do about it even though you see it happening a mile away and you murderknife your first companion ever....

Cullen: oh! I haven't posted here in so long (I lurk the forums a fair amount but I'm currently living in the country with no internet and dodgy 3G at beast, so it's rather a pain doing more than browsing!) so I know this is old news, but I was SO happy when Laidlaw confirmed there is NO class gating! Cullen/Mage is my preferred romance attempt, so WHEW!

Finally: half of my stuff is in storage and likely to remain there until the new year so I can't load up Origins and find out-- During the Test of Faith quest in the Gauntlet for the Sacred Ashes run, your first riddle (I believe) is given by Andrastes childhood friend, Ealisay. Does anyone here know/remember how it's pronounced?

Not to change the subject but reading this confession made me sad.  People no matter if they are gay, bi, or straight should not be persecuted  for how they choose to play the game.  Its really sad to see how divided this fandom is.

 

 

 

 

Erhm ... my canon Hawke is a male who romances Fenris.  It flat-out works, mind you.  And I myself am not a male nor gay.  I simply explored a different perspective and discovered it was wonderful.  Never apologize for enjoying a story, I say.

Always my favorite armor. It's not very protective-looking, but I loved it.

 

I always loved it, too.  Although I enjoyed modding it to black-colored alot of the time.  Still, it's better than wearing silly looking robes, ick.

I see I did some googling and it looks like it just does surface changes, like eye color and skin texture. Wouldn't really do me much good I'm starting to think getting a PC might not be such a good idea. It costs so much more than a console. But the thing is, my friend bought me The Sims 4, and I can't play it on my laptop, so I do eventually need to buy a PC. Hmm.

 

I really hope we'll eventually have mods for DA:I, but I don't want to get my hopes up there, so I'm not expecting much. If there's enough interest in modding the game, then hopefully someone can figure it out without the help of a toolset.

I know DA2 has modding without a toolset, but the mods are, in my opinion, pretty basic/simple and smaller in variety for the most part. Mostly texture replacements and changing values in certain files to modify things like combat difficulty, inventory space, or types of spells that are available. Not too much in the way of new armor meshes, quests, new companions, environment and tactics overhauls, etc, like for DA:O. I think part of the problem here may have been the lack of interest in modding DA2 by the people that are able to make all of the fancy tools we can use.

Ultimately, whether getting a PC for gaming is worth it or not is up to you. I'm a PC gamer that has built her own rig and enjoys modding things like crazy (I even make my own mods for personal use), and I wouldn't have it any other way. Having said that, as a graphic/web designer, I get a lot out of my computer besides just gaming. I'm going to have the computer for work anyway, so why not go all out and use it for my gaming hobby as well instead of buying a separate console?

 

And since I've been off topic so much...

Oh, nice! Anyone have a spare code? I'm still sad about constantly missing out on all of the codes that were being given away before. My timing was completely off, and even entering some of those codes within 6 seconds of them being posted wasn't fast enough!

I just had to log back in and say THANK YOU CULLENITES.  My day/week/biweek has been so crappy, and some few of you have rallied and messaged me, and thought about me in general, and I was crying with joy because THANK YOU!  You guys are the best, and I love you all so much (not in a creepy way, I swear)...
