i only butt in your code sending convo, to show you this BUT IT'S A VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE!!

our first lady, calls all the cullenites to organize a fan appreciation pack for greg and send it to him before the release of the game!!!

http://rihouston.tum...-all-cullenites

seems like i should also start working on my greg/cullen painting <:

Hello to all you lovely Cullenites! I just want to say I was honored to be the first of our group to meet Greg Ellis. I truly hope I represented all you amazing people well. Being a fan of Cullen, I see how much love is out here for him-fanfic and fan art abounds on the internet, but I knew that the man who brings that Templar alive for us on screen was most likely not so aware of how much we admire and appreciate his hard work. I happened to make Greg a drawing and a card for when I met him and he was just so genuinely grateful and thankful for it. It got me thinking that it is a shame that he is missing out on the gorgeous art or insights of his character that writers put into stories. The reason I created the card is to give Greg a way to connect with the fanart and fanfic inspired by Cullen, but even if he does have time to pop in, I feel the scope of how awesome the Cullenites and our community is may still go wholly unnoticed by him. I couldn’t include every single person in the card, but maybe I found a way to remedy that! I have the information to send fan mail to him and I thought that maybe if you ladies wanted to coordinate your art and writings to reach him. I thought rather than having everyone send in their work singly (which I am happy to share the information to anyone interested) that it would maybe be more meaningful for him to receive one large package from us as a collective group. If you want to entrust me, I am happy to do it.

If you are a writer, there are ideas I have for you to send-Greg Ellis is very adept at coming up with lyrics and rhyming on a whim when he spontaneously rapped about his Star Wars Rebels show coming out in October. I thought for writers, if you wanted to come up with something like a concise short prose, a poem, or even something as silly as a limerick it would have the best possibility at being read. Greg Ellis has a great sense of humor and I have no doubt you will be able to think of something! As to the artists, either hand drawn art of prints of your work (if you are a digital artist) would be amazing and trust me, it would be received very well! I request only paper or prints since I am going to bear the cost of shipping. If you are interested, please feel free to send me an Ask to let me know.

If anyone is interested in doing this, my goal is to have this package received before DAI releases since Greg is a bit nervous to play the game. He truly isn’t a gamer. Apparently the last console he played on was a PS2 and he was playing Grand Theft Auto. When his wife advised him to beat the hooker with a bat, he said he kinda drew the line. I thought this package would give him a boost of confidence and help show him that no matter how he plays or whether it is an hour of him running into a wall, as long as he is willing to try this for us, we will be here to support him.

Someone said that I was like the First Lady of the Cullenites which is very flattering, but I also want to make sure that I am not the only face he knows of in this fandom. That is the other reason why I thought of this gift idea-to put all of you who live so far away in the lime light and to be noticed for your awe inspiring talents. Thank you for taking the time to read this and thank you all for being so supportive, awesome, and inspiring.

I lurk everywhere . I started out lurking here and the Varric thread and then graduated to lurking on pretty much all the threads at some point or another haha. I'm awful about getting up the courage to post though. It took me like two months after I made my account to say anything. I'm a big scaredy cat, online and in real life lol (the only reason I'm so free with my posts right now is I'm exhausted which, for me, means I'm talkative and hyper...although I might not always make sense...).

Haha, yes! The cookies! *takes a whiff then smiles wistfully before scurrying away back to lurkdom*

I'm usually a better lurker myself. I spent three months lurking until I actually decided to post something. I remember I originally came here because one of the youtube people mentioned the forum and realized this was a gold mine for information and stalked the twitter thread obsessively.

Lately I've been busy playing through the Mass Effect trilogy for the first time.

I've heard about Mass Effect but am always weary about playing first person shooters, but I think it's nearly impossible for Mass Effect not to be brought  at some point  in 90% of threads and decided to give it a try because people seemed to really love it. (Except for the endings, apparently. Which I am terrified to reach now 0.0' ')

Anyways, so that's why I've been a terrible lurker the past couple days.

Would it help to say I loved the ending? :P

I think if you're heavy into RPGs and the importance of choice you hated it.

But I think if you're heavy into science fiction and classic sci-fi storytelling you liked it.

What if you're heavy in both :P?
I don't have much problems with the endings after the EC. It's not perfect, and i still hate
Spoiler
, but I can work with it (and I love
Spoiler
.
My major problem with the game was the autodialogue system.

I like all of the above, actually.

I've heard some people say that there's nothing wrong with it, and others say that even with the extended cut it makes no sense. I've heard a few of the endings already and I can't really say whether I'll hate it or love it until I experience it myself.

I do wonder if however I react to it would have been different if I hadn't know nto some extent what was going to happen ahead of time.

Aw...that makes me feel better. I felt like such a creeper/weirdo for taking so long to make my first post! I'm not sure where I first heard about the forums exactly, but I know that, once I found it, I hung around for the same reason as you. It's a goldmine here and gets new info faster than tumblr (which was my previous source for new Dragon Age info).

Ah! The Mass Effect Trilogy! I'm envious. I would love to experience it all over again for the first time. Yeah, I'm not a fan of first person shooters and it took me awhile to play Mass Effect. I actually tried the first game, played it a little bit, hated it, and didn't pick the game up again for months. Then, on a whim, I tried the second one, I loved it and really got into it. So then I played the third, and loved that (controversial statement alert). Then I picked up Me1 again and now I love that one too haha. So all and all, in my wacky little journey, I think they are awesome games :) (tired rambling alert).

As for the endings, make sure you have the ending dlc installed (it's free). Seriously, do not play without it. I thought I had it installed the first time I got to the ending and I didn't. It was the most jarring awful thing ever. The dlc didn't help much, but it's miles better than the original. However, despite the poorly done ending (I blame time constraints), I still love the third game and the series.

It's something that varies from person to person.
I'd still recommend the third game, despite my personal problems with the autodialogue, because on one particular long main quest, which is really, really good.

@Random out of pure curiosity do you have any of the dlc? Because I would definitely recommend at least Lair of the Shadow Broker and Arrival before you play Me3.

I know I have Lair of the Shadow Broker...I'm playing it on ps3 so some of the dlc came with it for free, but I'm not sure if I got Arrival...what does the Arrival dlc have in it?

Also, I LOVED Lair of the Shadow Broker. It was pretty awesome. (I had to reload a save though, because at the end I gave her a hug and I meant for it to be a 'friendship' hug, and she seemed to take it a bit differently...I felt so bad replaying that because she was so emotional and I wanted to comfort her but I didn't want to send her the wrong message and break her heart in the end >.< )

Hrungr on the code request thread said that in the past it generally took around two weekdays.

Oooo, that works! I have a pile of work right now that seems to keep growing as I move things into the done pile (isn't that supposed to shrink contents of the in basket?), but if I make myself stick to it tonight and tomorrow, I should have some time to enjoy it Thursday afternoon...

(Edit: I have no idea how to insert a picture...)
