I think I like the dysfunction I loved be a healing place of comfort for dear Fenris. I know Hawke couldn't "fix" him, but he could be there for him, just be there. And the romance was just so sweet. 

 

In contrast, when I romance Kaidan in ME I am a little bored... I definitely do not play ME for the romance, lol! Things only really get interesting with the confrontation in ME2 and then again in ME3. And then the world weary "How about you and me...?" conversation was very bittersweet. It was like they both knew they were going to die, and only being in that situation made them admit their feelings. 

 

I ended up talking a lot about the Kaidan romance, which I allegedly don't love... hmmmm.

It is a very apt depiction; mention "Fenris" and INSANE ARTEMIS APPEARS to protect her baby

 

Also I like that Cullen is thumbs-upping my devotion to my elven sweetie; HI5 CULLEN, he loves a good romance, too. Ugly Sweater Cullen is one of my favorites.

I also dislike Velanna, Duncan, Harrowmont, Justice (Awakening), and sorta-kinda Leliana. 

My opinion of Duncan depends a lot on the origin story. My dwarf commoner would have walked through an army of darkspawn to spit in the archdemon's eye for him. My City elf was NOT happy with him.

Duncan "made" my Mahariel leave Tamlen. At least that's how he saw things. He was not too broken up when the shem allegedly bit the dust, although he was sympathetic towards Alistair and his grief.

@curious Artemis: oh I totally understand your Fenris love! Mine doesn't extend so far (don't scratch my eyes out! *hides* ) but I dig the elf. I just wish they'd had the time/resources to build on relationships more (across the board) so we could delve past the main aspects of the characters drive/definition, if that makes sense? I'm not wording it well, I'm sleep deprived, the wee lad has four teeth coming in all at once, poor baby (and poor mama!)

Yeah, especially since Alistair suggested killing Connor. And I was like "okay you were the almost-templar, you know what you're talking about", and going all the way to the Circle seemed way too risky (before I knew it doesn't really matter). Then I get back to camp and Alistair tears me a new one. I was so pissed. XD

This is what I hated most. He suggests it then shouts at you for doing it. Alistair YOU'RE the one that put me in charge, you make me make all the hard decisions so give me a break!  But he does apologise after so I give him that, doesn't make me feel any better though. He so doesn't get any that night!!

Bloated gasbag, eh? The first thing that sprung to mind was the Orlesian ball when I read that... oh man, November can't come quick enough!

It does, although I'm pretty satisfied with his romance and how deep it was... but it kills me that the expansion was canceled; I just know there could've been more there involving us and our love interest Now I can only hope our LI will appear alongside Hawke in DAI. As disappointed as I am with the game at present, that would really bring a smile to my face!

I forgot to state my love towards Justice and how I dislike that he merged with Anders.. more on his side than Anders, I think it make Anders better character (until the blowing up Chantry thing).

My interpretation was that his northern twang is kicked all the way up to 11 and he becomes a Scottish stereotype for a bit.
