I kind of thought Morrigan would have acquired some new armor in the last 12 years....... no?
You know, now that I'm 33 I literally still have some clothes that I wore when I was 20 and 21. NIcer ones that are still in decent shape, but also some t-shirts that apparently weren't completely crap quality!

THOSE ARE FIGHTING WORDS, MRS. Chee!!!
Sam is supreme.
They are fighting words. I take it you missed the Twitter fight between the writers over who was better looking. It got quite heated. Just so you know, Patrick and I were in Dean's corner, David and Karin in Sam's. Cori was the tie-breaker, and Dean won.
(Castiel was not in the running, and neither was Dad Winchester--that would have been unfair.)
And I had to jump through a few hoops get this for you guys, so... here you go:

Hey all I'm saying is he never showed interest at all in males while he was swooning at females. The odds of him being bi was always extremely low.
Just as a note, a comment like this isn't going to help in the short term - it comes across as saying they were foolish for hoping in the first place. I don't think you mean ill by it, but give the thread some space while some people reconcile their disappointment. Thanks.

.....I think one of my posts was just removed....
I removed the post that it quoted.
Since the thread is moving super quickly I likely won't keep the thread apprised when I remove stuff all the time.

Well he definitely looks a little older and his skin isn't as line free as it was which doesn't bother me at all. I think lighting comes into play on these two shots as well. His facial expressions I like, he looks like he is about to kick some ass. I think he is hot either way though

I think he looks very handsome in the other shots with some softer expressions on his face ![]()

You still aren't getting it. There are--as pointed out--many threads debating the validity of Cullen; my thread's purpose was absolutely intended to be negative. Is that really such a bad thing? Where is the rule that says all threads must be positive? I was very straightforward about my intentions and I knew that the thread would likely be a small group of people agreeing with me, if any, but instead everyone from this thread hopped in to tell me how much they like Cullen. Yeah, you see, I already knew that...from the obscene and-honestly kinda-impressive over 2,220 pages this thread has garnered.
If your thread exists to denigrate fans of a particular character, yes it is such a bad thing.
If you have issues with Cullen as a character that you'd like to discuss, feel free to do it. I'd wager you can probably even do it here. But I *loathe* the term "circle-jerk" and if your position contains anything like that, it's not necessary.
I don't care much for romances and as such don't entirely understand/relate to people that love them so much. But I'm not going to talk down about them because they really like something that I don't care for.

I said that the love and agilation for him was obnoxious, not that the fans themselves were obnoxious.
It's very difficult to disassociate the two. If you find the love and adulation of him obnoxious, there's an exceptionally strong implication that "if only those people stopped loving and adulating him things would be better."

I understand that, but intent does matter.
To an extent. Did you or did you not make casual remarks towards the Cullen fanbase being some sort of circle jerk? Because when I see stuff like that, what you tell me your intent is and what I feel your intent is appear to be incongruous.
There are many characters from many different fandoms I like quite a bit, but I don't have anywhere near the attatchment rate for any character that some members of this communtiy have for a character who has a very, very small role in the grand scheme of things. His placement in Inquition screams of fan-service to me and I don't understand the different between it and large, bouncy breasts for no reason.
Well it's not. Whether your choose to believe me or not is your own prerogative. But the reality is that there's always a fandom of some particular aspect of our game, and as a result including it can always be construed as obviously being included because of "fan service." Which typically comes across as "there's a group of fans that want something that I don't care for, and it appears to make it in, so it's obviously a bad thing."
You made reference to Baldur's Gate and KOTOR. I remember the cries for Mission Vao. The lamentations that Mazzy Fentan couldn't be romanced. And yes, even the disappointment that the game seemed to focus on straight males.
The question then becomes, why does it bother you that he has a following?

I have no doubt BioWare found a very good way of fitting him into the story and perhaps I will like him more after he's a fleshed out character. It's really not so much about Cullen and more about how a rather insignificant NPC garners such a strange following when there were much more deserving, well-thought out characters in DA:O.
So your issue with Cullen is that he has fans and that you feel a different NPC should have been chosen instead?

I highly, highly doubt Cullen's importance to the story was planned from the start. Honestly, if someone could provide any evidence that this wasn't the case, I may change my opinion.
So you ignored my question AND added an unfalsifiable requirement to satisfy your needs for Cullen being "planned from the start."
I'll give you another chance.
Is your issue with Cullen that he has fans and that you feel a different NPC should have been chosen instead?

My issue with Cullen is that he was all too happy to go around killing mages until the very last minute when the Champion was threatened and he had a convent change of heart.
And before you tell me that he was just following orders...well, that's what the Nazis used as an excuse in the Nuremberg Trials.
He is an interesting character but I'm not a fan, and I'm not happy that he can't be dismissed.
Stanley Milgram's experiment also demonstrated how much power authority can have, and Nuremberg has plenty of criticisms too. I consider it a valid defense, and criticism, towards Cullen because it's an exceptionally complicated and debated issue as it is in our own reality.

All side characters are like "play-doh", it just happens this dude gets picked. He was a nobody in Origins and 2.
Well, then maybe Inquisition will give us the chance to make him a somebody.
If he was a nobody in Origins and 2, then he's roughly the same place as a brand new character who are effectively nobodies before you meet them as well.
