I picked up Mass Effect after I figured out I could romance aliens. XD

I am DONE with DAO for a long time. I completed over 9 PTs, not counting the dozens of other Wardens that simply didn't make it past Ostagar. After my PS3 issue, I lost them ALL...I just recreated them in the CC and now they're all sitting in their Origins. As much as I love DAO, I have played it way too much.

Same with DA2.

 

And now for the final, and darkest secret...*drumroll*

 

I dislike Alistair.

Actually one of my dark secrets is that I started ME thinking I wouldn't romance anyone since Kaidan looks like Ken doll and Garrus too inhumane to be attractive.. turned out that I was wrong about them

Dark and unpopular fandom secrets? Hmm, the only one I can think of right now has to do with Alistair.

I don't share the Alistair-love. I don't dislike him, but my feelings for him are more of indifference, and he does make a good friend for my Wardens. Zevran, however, has always been my favorite companion/romance. All the love and attention that Alistair and Alistair/Warden get from both fandom and BioWare, though, feels a bit like a constant reminder that I picked the wrong companion/romance to love. I feel absurdly happy when Zevran's existence is even acknowledged by BioWare.

I really like Alistair, I don't see him as whiny, although I can appreciate people thinking that I just find him a bit immature and really insecure until hardened. Having said that, if I knew someone like that in RL I would probably eye-roll and sigh more often than would be polite lol.

I've never romanced Zevran but he is always my wardens best friend, almost like her brother. She just knows he will always have her back

 

The only DA dark secret that I have which springs to my mind is Dagna, I don't dislike or hate her but there is something about her that irks me, I really don't know why either, on the face of it, she is cute and adorable, she just annoys me more than she should, I've often lifted her quest and never went back to visit the circle....hmmm I hope she isn't still standing there waiting for my warden to get back to her, I would almost feel bad about that

 

I think it's the season for trolls Vamp, they seem to have crawled out of the woodwork en mass & are infesting all manner of forums and sites, the most common advise is the best and that's just not to feed them, they tend to burn themselves out like a virus eventually. I'm off to read your fic now since you have linked it

It's funny, but I've noticed some people in here express surprise when the devs talk about Cullen, since they'd just assumed that the devs weren't very fond of him and didn't care much about talking about him. This is actually exactly how I feel as a Zevran fan, sadly.

Now that I think about it, there are also some similarities between what being a Cullen fan is like and what being a Zevran fan was like back in DAO when it comes to being a big target for trolls. Here's hoping that, once DAI comes out, we don't have to deal with them constantly telling us things like how they gleefully slit that disgusting elf's throat as soon as they had the chance. Not again.

 

Ok, looks like I'm in need of some Zevran and Cullen fanart to improve my mood after that.

Yay, finally some love for archers!  I tried playing an archer rogue in DA:O and couldn't get into it; unfortunately the most powerful build in DA:O for bows was also the most boring  I hope the archery in DA:I has some nice oomph to it like in Skyrim.

I'm loving these archer abilites, I know my go to combo is going to be Leaping Shot and Long Shot, (Long Shot of course missing because I'm out of range!), and I'll be desperately trying to synchronise them with Sera for maximum coolness.

i'm not sure if i mentioned it before, but i'm painting greg's portrait for rihouston's gift package, she's going to send to him... and i was so scared that i've butchered his face features, because i couldn't find a good reference picture... but as i put some colors and shadows on this sketch, everything looks far more better, and the way it should ;u;
