With proper encouragement she was a good ally.

Interesting response from "game dev" -- but what a crappy excuse to not create lead female characters!!

I do a mix of both.
Approach character: "HI HONEY![]()
![]()
![]()
![]()

"
Giving character gift: "HERE HAVE IT I LOVE YOUUUUUU."
Character dies: "WTF DUDE YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE A TANK ****** ACT LIKE IT."
When character does a bad: "You ****** ******...I still love you."

Hi guys,
How great was the 3000 celebration artwork
We have some crazy talented people in the Cullen thread. I haven't got to read the stories yet but I'm going to save that for a rainy afternoon when I have some peace from my screechers but thanks for sharing your imagination and transporting us to another world with your words. ![]()
Are we still doing the darkest DA gaming secrets? Meh, I'm doing it anyway

Okay... reading the descriptions, and I'm thinking more and more the knight enchanter really doesn't fit my boy. I don't know how he'd learn something from the Chantry.
*think, think, think* I guess "rift mage" makes more sense for a Dalish mage.

In the middle of a DA:O playthrough, and I just got to the part in the Broken Circle where you find Cullen.
Man, I'd forgotten how messed up he was, and how much worse it is if you're playing a Circle mage. Intensely awkward too...what with Alistair-the-former-templar-and-current-love-interest standing RIGHT THERE listening to every word of it. Cullen's voice even sounds higher pitched during that scene, like he's trying not to be hysterical at you.

I like the sound of the Rift Mage for non-human Inquisitors. It sounds very resourceful, primal and downright hedge magey so I'm more sure than ever that I want to use it for my Hissra Adaar. But I've also been put off giving the KE spec to Esmerelda since its old description sounded too disciplined and its new one makes it sound like the Chantry wouldn't teach it to Libertarians so she's definitely becoming a Necromancer. I don't even care if it's a really messy, gorey spec anymore since she's now cuckoo for coco puffs.

Yep. I've always thought that was one of those oblivious-Alistair moments (or maybe he was just tactful for once) in never mentioning Cullen's words, like being able to flirt with Teagan right in front of him. Leliana didn't say anything on my PT with a mage that was romancing her, but we hadn't confronted her bard master yet, so the romance was still pretty early.

Hmmm...I'm having real problems picking a specialization for either Sasani (my Circle mage) or Aralan (my rogue elf). As interesting as I find the Knight Enchanter as a player, if just totally doesn't fit her personality. Neither does Necromancy. Too messy. That leaves her with Rift Mage which seems, as people have mentioned, a bit more like hedge mage or Dalish kinda stuff.
And Aralan was going to be a more traditional archer, but I don't see anything that really matches his personality. I suppose he could put down his bow and start stabbing things as an assassin.
I wonder how horrible it would be if those characters didn't take any specializations at all. IE, are the specialized skills that much more powerful? *sigh* I guess I could rework their personalities a bit to make one fit each of them, too. I have plenty of time.
Elke could work with either a champion or a templar, so no problems there.

Esmerelda -- definitely the Cullenite quizzy I'd least like to encounter in a dark alley ![]()
Yeah the new description is just sooo super Chantry friendly. Like, only a human mage who was very pro-Circle seems like they'd be a knight-enchanter. Which is pretty disappointing. If we could have elven circle mages I'd have done it in a second though.

*nod nod* I'm having the exact same problem with my Dalish mage and Dalish archer. None of the specializations really fits either one. Like my mage is more of an elementalist, and my archer is, well, an archer. Just a super awesome hunter. I was hoping tempest would be the archery specialization, but evidently not.

Hmm, I hadn't noticed the Chantry addition to that text, sigh. Maybe Rift mage for Ryumka after all (and a qunari KE sounds like fun come to think of it).

Ah! You guys are so nice. I saw that there'd been pages reserved on page 3000, but assumed they were reserved for specific people. Thank you! (:Awesome. Adding to page 3000
I loved playing Creation for Circle Mages in Origin ... it seems like it is a school of magic that won't quite fit well with the specializations. d: I hope I'm wrong, but I know what you mean! My first Circle mage will be Entropy focused Knight Enchanter, and my first inquisitor will be a Tempest dwarf - which I expected to be more like the Whirlwind, Two-handed abilities in Origins, rather than a tinkerer, but I'm curious to try it out. I wish you luck in deciding!Hmmm...I'm having real problems picking a specialization for either Sasani (my Circle mage) or Aralan (my rogue elf).

Maybe archer's will benefit from "backstab" this time around? It always bugged me that Assassin favored melee fighters.

Well archers in DA2 could use "assassinate" ... they just shot an arrow and the enemy lost half his/her life lol

DA:A added more specializations. Maybe there will be an expansion in DA:I that adds something like the Dalish keeper, or the Battlemage specialization from DA:A.

My belief is that the person who will teach us the skill is a Circle mage who originally had to get such special dispensation to learn the art themself. I highly doubt they'd force you into a corner like that with your role playing.Okay... reading the descriptions, and I'm thinking more and more the knight enchanter really doesn't fit my boy.
