So did Cullen officially have a thing for Surana, or just for Amell? I've not played through a DA2 Surana import yet.
Both, but he didn't mention Surana in DA2. He only mentions Amell cause Hawke is Amell's cousin.

No, he has five.

@Tamyn: No, that's the decoration on the wooden grip. If you look closely you'll notice 'the 6h finger' is actually not as round as the rest and more wodden styled drawn.

Except I can't romance him so...that's clearly not gonna work.Yes, you're weird.
Also wrong, there is only one valid response to Cullen's character and that's pretty much 'take me now....' So, yeah, let's consider the matter closed.

I just wish they'd gone the bisexual route again so that everyone would feel happy with their options.
Edit - or if not exactly happy - 'cause when has that EVER happened in gaming, at least they wouldn't be left feeling that their character was prohibited from pursuing the LI that appealed to them arbitrarily.

Exact same content for both of them. It was my Surana who made him go running down the hall from embarrassment.

Blah - don't remind me, it totally sucks that he's gated for genders. Still although you can't have a romance, I still maintain that being attracted to Cullen is the only appropriate response to his existence - it's like the common thread that binds humanity together.

I dunno. Unrequited love has great dramatic potential. Also comedic potential...

True, true. I know I'm going to have one character attempt to hit on Dorian and be oblivious to his total lack of interest just for maximum Quizzy humiliation. It will be my gormless, incompetent play through. They are always good for a laugh.

I kinda want this, but then again not so much because of the price tag http://www.biowarest...ed-edition.html
I really like the art/pics of Blackwall, Sera and Iron Bull... I really hope they do advisors as well not just for Cullen because I think Josephine & Leliana would look awesome as well

My problem with this line of thinking is that it assumes all of the characters which are currently love interests would suddenly be available to everyone, when in reality it would mean that 3-4 of the current LIs wouldn't be available to anyone at all. So, whose fans' hearts do you want to crush by making them unavailable at all?

I ran the math once. For bisexual ungated LIs, you need eight sets of cutscenes. There are 35 sets in DAI. So you'd have to cut the LIs down to four. Since Cullen was a late addition, I'm pretty sure he and Solas would be cut.

Yeah. I would suggest Iron Bull as well, as they had to do so much extra work for him.

Then we'd have to get rid of one of the girls too. So we'd end up with Dorian, Cassandra, Blackwall, and either Josie or Sera (probably Sera). At any rate, there would be lots of tears ![]()
I'm glad they did things the way they did, it's very interesting, and I am hoping for the option to flirt with someone who's not interested so I can get shut down lol

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I actually felt rather strange when I realized that I was HOPING for the option for my female mage to be shut down by Dorian. ![]()

I'm not against gatings but they could just be more evenly distributed.

They didn't plan to make 8 romances. With their initial plan they went for. 2/2/2 split.I'm not against gatings but they could just be more evenly distributed.
After the year extension they probably had more budget for romances, but Leliana was already off-limits, and Varric and Vivienne had plot reasons for not being LI (considering that even if Cullen or Solas we're bisexual there's still be an inbalance).

I have a different problem. I'm pretty flexible on both my gender and orientation and that of the LI. So coming up with characters who will romance Cullen and Cassandra without feeling like I'm playing the same character twice is proving something of a challenge.
