It's okay; I'm with you lol But can't dispute what others are seeing, if that's what they truly say they're seeing.
Yeah, when I look at the bigger version of the cover and study it, I 100% agree there could be a man or a woman under the armor, definitely. But the overall first impression was, "Oh, another male video game player character."
I'm not dissing BW in any way though b/c 1. The cover is creepy and very awesome, and 2. I think there was genuine effort to be gender neutral, and also the creative people (aka my heroes) aren't responsible for what marketing does anyway.
Oh I wouldn't diss them, I am just disappointed....in a game where gender choice is a big thing and they stick with the 'safe' man on the cover. I don't think it's as ambiguous as they think.

What if closing these rifts actually takes it out of us, like weakening us each time we do it or taking a piece of ourselves each time... kinda like in GoT when that dude keeps bringing his friend back to life every time he dies in battle, but each time he comes back to life he loses a small part of himself.

Possibly. Depends if it's permanent, or if they have to stay in close proximity to the tears to stay normal. And closing the tears would tear their emotions away from them again.

Actually, Mark Darrah obscurely said that the Mage class will have an additional blurb to their story surrounding the whole veil tear thing.

From what I understand, all Inquisitors will have a specific origin. It's just that it will play out over the course of the game rather than occurring at the start like in Origins.
