I though they were gonna have different backstories, dalish elves for instance?

Didn't they get rid of back stories because of adding races, but the race and class you choose will have more reactivity value in the game itself with NPCs?

Actually, Mark Darrah obscurely said that the Mage class will have an additional blurb to their story surrounding the whole veil tear thing.

No, I'm pretty sure mages will have a separate origin.

You mean background. Human mages will have a separate one from the human warrio/rogue, but we'll start from the same point in DAI.

:shrug: Not my rules, but MMG has had similar pics deleted by mods. Given the profanity filter on the forum, doesn't make sense that it would be ok to use it in pics instead.

I just wonder why there is so tight rules.. maybe it's cultural thing since in Finland curse words are quite daily thing used by all age groups, there is no media filter for them either only little childrens shows are free from cursing XD Different kind of mentality towards then I guess. Hmm, I have to be careful I have cursed couple times and wondered what the stars are for XD

Me too! I bet there will be some downside to being able to close veil tears. Maybe the more power/larger the main tear grows, or the more power the "big bad" generates the more negative effects start afflicting our Inquisitor or something?

Though having an additional blurb (whatever it is) doesn't man that the origin will be different. The starting point will be the same for every class/race.

I'm sure some of it cultural. Some of it I'll bet is just doing whatever they can to limit "hate" words on the forums. The filter also takes out certain trigger words that aren't profanity, like s l u t.

I'd love to have a spirit of hope or something in the Inquisitor because it appeals to me... But I could see other gamers being turned off by something they see as restrictive to their RP value? Like "I don't want to be forced to be filled with hope!" -- or not? Maybe it would be an undefined spirit... ness....
