Warden? Mark - we aren't bringing back Warden in DAI... sort of pic.twitter.com/0VJkZ4JvBe
So, our warden's missing, and they aren't going to tell us what happened to her still? Unless this means they're just offing them, sigh, and more or less writing the romances out of Leliana, Morrigan, and Alistair's appearances.
DA4: Qunari invasion! Semi-confirmed rumour!
But then the headache: do we get to pick sides?

I'm sure they'll explain where/what happened to the Warden, or at least that's what I'm assuming the "sort of" means

I know I'm bitter and butthurt because he's my boo, but if Zevran's not showing up in this game, then those three romances better not get anything more than a passing mention/codex namedrop either. If those three get lots of mushy content while Zevran gets passed over again, Maker help me, I will not be a happy camper.
I'm starting to regret not doing the US, especially since the only reason I didn't was that I wanted to play DAA without getting a headache. Warden dying doesn't bother me per se, just that I made a few choices I don't like to keep them alive for little gain.
So what they just showed at the Edmonton Expo is what we'll get to see tomorrow on the Twitch stream, right?

No, all they showed was a snippet of the CC. Tomorrow, we get a live demo, with Character Creation that we help them do on the spot according to our suggestions. Then we get a full demo of gameplay as well in an entirely new area.

I had a few lingering second thoughts about doing the Ultimate Sacrifice on most of my Wardens, until I read Last Flight. Then there was a passage there that made it all worth it. Getting that honor, versus trusting Morrigan with an old god's soul? My dead Wardens have no regrets. ![]()
Also, I've become quite fond of my Orlesian Wardens too. It's a whole new character to keep in your heart, shaping their own part of history along with your Warden and your Hawke.

Oh, it's not that. It's just that importing becomes a complete mess if the Warden was dead. Well that, and I figured throwing him at the archdemon was the best way to make sure Alistair didn't show up again.

lol I feel ya. It's been a rough ride for Zevran romancers. Still, I would want no one to go through what we went through in DA2: total lack of acknowledgment of the romance altogether. Yes, I know it was a bug.. that was never fixed! (Nor were the DAO Zevran romance bugs ever fixed.)

My first import will be an US Warden ^^ That's not how I played it, but I'll do that via the Keep. There really was nothing for Theron Mahariel at the end of it all. And I never really felt he fell in love with Zevran. Plus he had no desire to be a Warden, never did, and never would.
And he would always miss Tamlen ![]()

Actually, I had the impression that while Zevran won't actually appear, he'll come up in connection with a romanced warden at some point. Don't remember exactly where I read that, though. Zevran's definitely one of my favorites, and I'm hoping he pops back up in the future.

I'm trying to be optimistic about what that statement meant, but this is the one thing I'm having a really hard time having much trust in at this point. Honestly, I'd rather they'd just dropped a house on the Warden between DAO and DA2 at this point, considering the hints that a warden who first underwent the joining during a blight will probably be on the short end of the life span for wardens (10 years instead of the 30 originally stated in DAO). I assumed they'd have to appear this time, if only on their way to the Calling, so I'm starting to think they're just going to inform us that they underwent the Calling already, and either write off or write the conclusions to the romances without input from the players. Bleh. I mean, I get that they love their tragedies, and I get that they don't want to rehash prior games, but I'm just as glad now that my planned first world state involves a Warden who made the US since I won't have unpleasant surprises.
I hope they show us some male qunaris and dwarves tomorrow, I don't think we have seen faces of those before (at least close looks).
The Mind. One left to go! Who's your favorite so far? #DAI pic.twitter.com/tDpHnLFPZC
Yeaaa, Dorian kicks the crap out of that one lol.

I don't like the sound of that "sort of". It makes me think they've done something else than just sent the Warden away on important business.
I'm fine with not seeing the Warden but I really want to know why she/he disappeared.

Oof. Yeah. Ghoul Warden sounding more likely than ever. Amell was shaping up to be my Tragic PC anyway, I guess. :/I don't like the sound of that "sort of". It makes me think they've done something else than just sent the Warden away on important business.
Okay no to Solas then. So down to Blackwall and Dorian, with Cassandra, Cullen, and Josephine getting various levels of maybe.

Yes, and?
