But even without trying to come up with a mathematical formula to describe the multitude of attitudes your Warden could have had, you don't feel that who is ruling Thedas and whether particular people are alive and whether lycanthropy is a thing in this universe means anything? I'm sorry if was harsh originally, but I feel it does.I meant that EA is telling new players "why bother". I'm playing through right now simply because I like continuity and I think it is a very well done game.
I'm pretty confident the Warden won't just be "they went to their calling and died lol" because that feels like a cheap cop out. I still think they'll be mentioned but not seen, busy doing grey warden junk somewhere else
Except for the fact they've said the Warden is missing and implied that even their LIs don't know where they are since as far as I know, Leliana makes the same statement about the Warden being missing at the end of DA2 whether or not she's the LI.

But if a warden who romance warden Alistair, why wouldn't Alistair go to his calling too, considering Alistair became a grey warden before the Warden....anyway this is getting off topic YAY CULLEN

And as I said in my original post, the choices can be easily made by the Keep. The *personality* of the Warden will be forever lost except for possibly some reminiscing by love interests.

Wardens who take the Joining during a Blight only have about ten years to live. DA:I starts about ten years after DA:O. Alistair took his Joining 6 months before the Blight started.

No, give in to the dark side!
NooOoooOooOOOOooo I can't, the ~purity of our love~ will conquer these evil sexy thoughts!
No it won't. ;_;
They can always add more to the keep, and could add the choice of what they were like to it for a future iteration if necessary. Currently, their actions will have to speak for their words, for example if you sided with the Templars - Cullen could reminisce that the Warden was a hard man/woman, or if you slaughtered the Dalish someone else could say the same, whereas if you set the slaves free, another could call you righteous. I feel that the information is there.And as I said in my original post, the choices can be easily made by the Keep. Alistair became a warden before the blight actually started which means there's no reason he should get his calling earlier than other wardens, and he has "special circumstances"

Yeah Cullen! We only have to worry about lyrium withdrawal/addling with him, right?
EA can force them to release a game in a short dev time (as They did with DA2). They don't choose the plot. Everything that you don't like about DA's plot and writing, it's Bioware's 'fault'.
I don't like much EA. It doesn't mean that it should be used as a scapegoat to justify everything that you don't like about Bioware games.
Granted, but since having the Warden in the game would require a huge amount of work, I can see why they'd hesitate to greenlight it.

I'd claim to be the voice of Basement Cat, but he's already around here somewhere... ![]()

My mage Warden sided with the Templars. She was far from a hard person, but she knew how dangerous abominations could be.
In any case, yes, this is a Cullen thread, and I apologize for sidetracking. I'm simply venting my frustration at this point.
EDIT: And she also had a crush on Cullen. He influenced her a lot. ![]()
I very much doubt anything about their plot is approved by EA. EA greenlights the Project and determine the budget. What Bioware Does with that budget is up to them.Granted, but since having the Warden in the game would require a huge amount of work, I can see why they'd hesitate to greenlight it.
Quick question guys, does anyone know if hornless qunari have been confirmed for the PC?
I guess this was a while ago... but I didn't see an answer. Yes, they have confirmed hornless qunari. ![]()
Wrong. Gaider said that people that live/fight during the Blight have their lifespan shortened. He didn't refer only to the Warden's made during the Blight, and he didn't say They live 10 years.
Hmm, I've only ever seen the statement that wardens who underwent the Joining during the Blight tended to have the shortest life spans, though presumably that 10 to 30 year span will vary a lot depending on the person's resistance to the taint, and no other blight has been this brief. He may have said what you quote in a different interview and I just haven't seen it, so I'm not necessarily disagreeing. But the implication of what he's said either way would suggest the Warden/Hero has everything pointing to the shortest end of that time frame (not that we have anyone else who survived killing an archdemon to tell us whether that's a factor too). This is one of the things we'll have to find out.
O.O Has anyone read any AU fanfiction where Cullen is being recruited by Duncan in the Circle Tower? If not, maybe I or someone else should write that .... xDHmm, I've only ever seen the statement that wardens who underwent the Joining during the Blight tended to have the shortest life spans, though presumably that 10 to 30 year span will vary a lot depending on the person's resistance to the taint, and no other blight has been this brief. Thanks, for the responses. There's been all this news lately, I wasn't sure what was confirmed and what was just my head lol.
Yeah Cullen! We only have to worry about lyrium withdrawal/addling with him, right?
He's still got a couple decades to go before the lyrium takes him! If Greagoir was alright in his 50s/60s, the Inquisitor can still have at least one decade or two of going wrinkly and grey with Cullen before the disorientation and memory loss starts. Then she can take care of him through his worse years.
(lol considering the speculation that the glowy green hand might be killing the Inquisitor as they use it, we should count ourselves fortunate if we can even have one or two years with Cullen before the Fade takes us
)

Ummm...or red lyrium corruption...
Or poison, or death by combat, or lightning, or slipping on wet stone floors, or choking on dinner, or whatever. d:Ummm...or red lyrium corruption...

I kind of hope this isn't another "save the world, but you have to die to do it right" stories, especially since they said we could keep playing after the finale.
