I love that we can use hold position on one character instead of the whole party. The speed of combat is a nice compromise between dao and da2. I like what I'm seeing so far. I def will use lots of tactical view.

No kidding! Half the questions are things that have been addressed months ago.

Yes! I always found that frustrating.

They're showcasing the combat, which is just not their strong point. I mean just from what little I've seen, Dragon's Dogma is still way, way better.
They should focus on their strengths, like characterization and narrative ![]()

That could complicate things. Are we going to have to track that on paper?

It may not be their strong suit, but the moment-to-moment gameplay (and a lot of that's combat) what we will be *doing* most of the time. I'd like to know what most of my time in game is going to look like.
The gameplay doesn't have to blow me out of the water. Ideally it's fun, but on a minimal level, it just has to be acceptable and not make me want to hit my head against a wall ![]()

I feel your pain. The male hairstyles looked pretty crappy, too
Hair in general is kind of... disappointing? It looks bad, and there don't seem to be more than ten or so options.
From what I've seen (they didn't shown every options), I prefer DAI over DA2.Yeah, I'm shocked and yet not? BioWare can't seem to make hair and doesn't seem to get that we like it. Just think of the ME options
But even DA2 had better hair than this.
Depends on People. I prefer What I've seen from DAI over DD (no that the latter has a Bad gameplay). But I do prefer party-based combat. They're showcasing the combat, which is just not their strong point. I mean just from what little I've seen, Dragon's Dogma is still way, way better.

I can't see now the stream (have friends at home), so I hope to see it later.

I think they mentioned in the stream that playing on Casual, you only really have to worry about the character you're controlling. You won't have to manage the party, just don't run your Quizzy into a Fireball and focus on how s/he plays.

I've got it recorded. It's a bit of a monster size wise, so it'll take a minute to upload on YT. I'll post the link on here when it's ready.
Edit: Oops nvm! Looks like I don't have to, it's already up on Twitch

True, and it is annoying sometimes when your sorcerer pawn in DD tries to Gicel a frostwyrm xD

We've only seen two male elves... period... so I'm worried. Because they both look to be in their late 30s/40s. Can I make a young guy in his early 20s I wonder, or is it grizzled and worldly or bust for this game? *strokes chin*
That freckled female elf was delightful and looked to be very young though.

Amen. If I could, I'd turn combat completely off. Not really happy with tactical play, and I hope it's as entirely optional as they say. Boring video was boring to me since it was all combat except for a few minutes where they make really ridiculous looking characters and talk over the VA.
I guess I'm just really afraid that their target customer has changed so much that I'll be really upset at what happened to BioWare RPGs. ![]()
