I don't think he brought his A game today.  It must be kind of intimidating to have to play in front of not only all your colleagues but however many thousand fans - AND EVERYBODY IS JUDGING YOU.  I wouldn't be able to do it, I would forget everything I ever imagined I knew about tactics and class functions.  All while you are expected to be informative and amusing, so really, I think he did great.   :D   Heck, I don't even like the thought of multiplayer gamers judging me.  So lots of kudos to Cameron (I've forgotten his last name).   :)

Judging. Judging you.

I like that hair a lot, and if we can't have curly hair, she'd do well as my Ryumka Trevelyan, with dark violet, slightly larger eyes and a little sharper features.

So do we know if the hair has a color wheel like the eyes, or is the hair color/shade you see is the one you get?

See there is light at the end of this tunnel, I was going through the past pages and a lot of people seemed disappointed and while I did not really feel that way, I could see why they would feel that way. So I think Bioware made a smart move by releasing this little teaser as well. Anyway I see plenty of hairstyles that could fit my characters, while they may not be exactly what I wanted...I still think I am going to be spending WAYYYYYYYYYYYY too much time in the CC.

Waaaayyyyyyy too much time in the CC. Lol!

It's true, I am already dying to get my hands on it...and when I do...oh Maker I think I may have a seizure before I even start it up. I always spend an hour or more in the CC...typically more...a lot more...XD

Yeah I didn't see one either, but I still think that maybe they are keeping it as a surprise. I don't know, I just want a confirmation that it is or is not in there; so I think I may ask one of the Devs.

I noticed though that there are no one liner click companion dialogues. I guess we just have to rely on their inherent chattiness. I like chatty companions.

And sometimes when I'm in a scary place, I just like to hear their voice even though I've heard the same line a gazillion times.

Sometimes they would surprise me w/new one liners appropriate to the situation! :wizard:

Wasn't there that predominately brownish wheel for hair?

Nope, it was eyelash colour of all things, I went back and checked (I have the flu, I'm allowed to waste my whole day doing nothing in a mess!)  I assume the hair colour tool would be pretty much the same (do eyelashes count as hair?).     :)

I don't see why Bioware would not have a hair color wheel, that would be such a great idea...my fiery vixen could return, lol! Well I guess we will have to wait and see, I asked ML and I hope he replies to my tweet.

I remember a slider for hair color, but if there's a wheel, they didn't show it.

The CC is something I really enjoy doing. I find it rather relaxing, and kinda like a bonding time.

It's like I have a general idea of my PC, Their motivations, a hazy idea of what they may look like. But when I'm in the CC, it's more like I'm opening the way for the character to emerge.

As I fiddle with the face tattoos, or scars, I find that every mark has a story. Tells me more abt this character.  Maybe their ears are kinda big, too. lol! But that becomes a part of their character story. Or very strange eyes.

And when it hits, Bam!, it hits. The smallest detail altered, then Bam!..it's them. It's the PC. So, I do have something like a template for the PC in mind, but they have a way of stepping up, so to say.

Mmhm I remember the slider. The hair colors were fine but still I would really love to have a wheel, and if I was Bioware I would actually keep the hair color wheel underwraps if it does exist.

That's exactly what the CC is like for me! For one my IQs I plan on her having a scar through her left eyebrow and if possible over her eyelid, kind of like Weiss6ef.png

Yeah, I'm the same.  I find that I become emotionally attached to my characters through the process of molding them in the CC.  I can go in with all sorts of plans about who I think I'll play but then as I make my selections they become more real to me and I develop a new idea of what sort of person they are and what the style choices I make say about them and their head cannoned story.   :)

I think character creation is a really strong tool to actively engage the players imagination and emotions in the game.

I'm not good at planning how a character will look in advance, though usually I think of hair color and general face shape. Mostly because I know whatever I think of in my head will turn out not to work in a CC. I'm much more inclined to give them personality and a sketchy background to base it on.

I don't care much about character creation. I just make fiddle around for a little bit and I'm done.

I almost feel bad.  My first Inquisitor doesn't have any strange or exotic coloration, yet there's this huge beautiful color wheel for me to play with.

Oh well.  I'll just have to indulge in all the garish colors with my unfortunate second inquisitor  :P

Thanks, it's Ok.  Apart from the gross sweating and fever, it's kind of nice to be a layabout and of course I get to catch up on all the DAI news.  :)

Forget the game people,

I will be spending months on the CC.

The intensely beautiful wonderful character creator with actual proper lighting and so many different options AND FRECKLES and *babbles off into incoherency*

Seriously, dat character creator. *whistles* I'm super happy and excited for it.

^_^ In any case, hello all. It's been a while. Besides the character creator, anything new happen? I went to ECEE on saturday and went to the panel on the Keep, and there was some really interesting stuff about why they chose the design choices they did and just how much work went into making it, but nothing else really new. I also got to meet a few of the devs, and I got some autographs at their booth and solved the puzzles that were there.

I loved the CC. The faces look great. Scars, freckles, broken nose- I approve. I'm definitely giving my first inquisitor a broken nose and a massive scar.

The Qunari hairstyles could be better, to say the least. I feel like it shouldn't have been that hard to make a cute, longer hairstyle that still works with the horns.

Still, not a major problem for me. I'm also sure somebody will come along and mod it eventually. I'll probably go with a bald Sareebas with sawed off horns or the head 1 preset with some minor changes until then.

I will be spending a lot of time in the CC, though. I hope there isn't some unskippable cutscene before or after it because I'll want to go back many times to make a new character.
