I'm suddenly terrified  :crying: What a kick in the nuts to have Cullen finally fall in love, only to lose that person in order to save Thedas. Even worse, what if the Inquisitor is eternally stuck in the Fade in order to keep the tears from re-appearing

I think that there'll be a possibility for a tragic ending as well, but maybe we'll be given the chance to keep our pc alive and "happy" in the end...Hopefully we won't have to sacrifice our LI in order for our pc to live or something like that...

It wouldn't surprise me if that was one of the endings, lol. There's supposed to be 40 different ones though, so presumably at least one of them will allow us to get out of there alive, lol.

Well, we DO know how fond DG is of all things bittersweet  Just sayin'

I'm definitely with Lola... I loved that the tried to humanize Shepard in ME3 with the stress getting to her. I definitely give big plus marks to attempts to make our Inquisitors more relatable. And if the are adding stuff like emotional responses to the dialogue wheels I think they are already trying to step in that direction.

Good god that's a lot of endings...I hope the walkthrough comes out relatively soon after the game comes out so I can get a good ending :3

Lol, remember that's 40 diff variables to the end world-state, not 40 distinct ending scenes or something. Darrah (or was it Laidlaw?) was quick to clear that up.

I suspect a lot of them will just be little variations here and there based on decisions made across all 3 games, but either way there's bound to be the "happy" ending (the Inquisitor getting out alive with LI and most of the companions still in tact and on side) in the mix.

It isn't actually like that. Darrah addressed that claim:

Hey guys,
I just want to clarify the endings in Dragon Age: Inquisition
Dragon Age Inquisition's endings variations come in three levels
1. Minor variations based upon choices you make in the game or previous games. There are HUNDREDS of these variations.
2. Major variations based upon larger decisions in the game. There are about forty of these
3. Completely unique endings. There are a small number of these

The only other time Tranquility reversal has been touched on was DA2 with Karl. That and Asunder.

Oh, right, right! Thanks for jogging my memory, thou Sage and Encyclopedia Dragon Age-ica. ;)

Like Will Turner stuck on the Flying Dutchman? That really ticked me off.  :(

I agree,to be honest I think that the reaction wheel will definitely make the inquisitor more relatable and 3-dimensional,although I wonder how strong the emotional responses will be,like for example will the inquisitor be able to shed some tears every now and then?

I just hope there's more facial expressions, and not just constant poker face.

I'd like for it to be an option! I wonder if the frostbite engine is better suited to believable tears and, well, a greater variation of facial expressions in general.

I think both DA2 and ME3 had pretty good reaction faces; the poker face is mostly the Warden; in fact a friend warned me before playing it that my Warden kind of just stands there silently and stares at whoever's talking like a psychopath lol I could never erase that thought from my brain the whole time I played DA:O, and I just HAPPENED to give my Warden a bit of a perpetual smile.

Well don't forget "The Fires Above" trailer; there's rain dripping off Iron Bull's face.

Meh...DA2 was definitely better facial expression wise, but it was still pretty poker face. But from what we've seen in the trailer, teaser, whatever it was, the expressions in DAI look really good so far

Hopefully, although from what we've seen so far I rather liked Varric's sad expression in the trailer. :)

It's funny you should mention that scene because I thought his face looked pretty wooden  I chalk it up to it being pre-alpha and all that; they're going to get their faces moving more naturally, I've no doubt about it.

Agree to disagree :P I thought Anders and Fenris in particular had lots of facial expressions, and several of my favorite scenes feature Hawke's cool expressions (for example, when Flemeth swoops in from above, his/her expression is pure "...WTF?!" lol)

LOL DA2 never did that to me, but ME2 and ME3 did; it was... pretty mood-breaking, to say the least!
