Well...(glances at Sebastian) that remains to be seen. And I personally didn't like the Anders romance that much, but that was due to what he did at the end...(grumbles).
Still, I think all of them should be good. I just don't want my hopes to get too high.
You have four romances lol You'll be fine.

Good for you! I had a reviewer once who wrote a long, nasty review of my fic... in it, she said that I should have explained how one of my characters, who had a broken leg, was managing to go to the bathroom. Like, really? I mean, nitpicking aside, I could maybe, MAYBE see someone complaining about that in an amazon.com review, for a book they PAID for. But you leave a review like that on a fanfic? Written for free in the writer's free time? This was like chapter 10, too. So she sat through 9 other chapters before ripping me a new one. Thanks, beotch lol

I stopped posting fanfic because 1) I don't have that much time for it anymore and 2) I *have* had to abandon fics before because of RL reasons, and it just makes me feel bad. If I do start again, one-shots only.

Point taken lol. I think the thought on the advisers and Cullen being added in later worry me slightly. Even though I try to remain optimistic.
BUT...depending on the characters, I have thought of replacing one of my female choices to romance either Josephine or Cassandra. I like to roll as a male character to see the romance with one of the female characters. Doing s/s...I choose not to do it. Much like you choose to solely do s/s.

Yeah I just sent a pm saying there's nothing stating you have to read a certain fic. if you don't like it please move on to another fic you enjoy. lol
I hate guys like him/her...granted I do love to give constructive criticism. Mostly my thought of what could be improve and whatnot. Something I wish to get with mine since I wouldn't mind writing my own original stuff lol.

I don't know if it's odd or not for a straight old woman, but I really enjoyed all of the DAO romances, including F/F with Leliana and and male romances with Morrigan and Zevran. I'm excited that there are 8 total romances with interesting characters, though the only one who would personally interest me is Blackwall (and that's assuming a huge amount since we really don't know that much about him), and I'm still in shock that we got him. I feel bad for everyone who didn't get the LI that they wanted, though, since we all experience the game differently.

I don't feel comfortable doing s/s, but I do like to experience the romances from the female companions. For instance, my next DA2 playthrough will be Mage-Male!Hawke who romances Isabela. And my Solas romance playthrough will follow a male Dalish Rogue who romances Morrigan (or Leliana, I haven't decided yet) and a Male-Rogue!Hawke who romances Merrill.
Cullen was someone I wanted from the beginning, and I did initially plan two female Inquisitors and two male Inquisitors (to romance Josephine and Cassandra). So that means I won't romance Sera and Dorian, which is fine. I'll just befriend them.

I've never played a male toon or same gender romances. It's not that I have a problem with it (although I did grow up where every protagonist was a male) it just never occurred to me or the characters never appealed to me.
That will change in DAI, I'm loving Dorian and I love DG so looking forward to it after my first PT. I think my femquizzy will probably be buddy buddy with Sera to romance her in another PT but then again I might change my mind
It will feel strange at first I suppose but I'm finding the characters really appealing

It took me a while to start branching out in my RPGs and playing male toons. PS:T and Deus Ex helped a lot in that regard--the quality of the protagonists and stories really helped me get over that hurdle. I've yet to play a same-gender romance (I would've romanced Steve Cortez but Miranda's just too cool to ditch!). But I'm probably going to in DA:I. DAT SEXY TEVINTER MAGE.

Yeah I just sent a pm saying there's nothing stating you have to read a certain fic. if you don't like it please move on to another fic you enjoy. lol
I'm sorry that you're dealing with somebody behaving like this. I've written fanfiction for a couple of years now (only recently in the DA fandom) and one of the elements that cause me to despise writing is that one person who has a bee in their bonnet about what you have written. Granted, I haven't read your fanfic but I don't think that it is fair for you to receive that type of feedback without the person providing something constructive as an alternative.
As for romances. Since recently finishing off all the romances from DA:O, I was quite impressed with the depth in romancing someone like Zevran to romancing someone like Alistair. Of course, romancing Alistair with my fem Warden appears to be more of a must otherwise I will feel as though I'm cheating on him. Lol! However, romancing Leliana as a fem Warden was an interesting experience as prior to getting Origins and DA2, I had not experienced het and S/S romances before in a game (and probably wouldn't have ventured playing one). So that was pretty cool. And I might make a S/S character to romance Josie in DAI. The opportunity to romance Morrigan was also something that persuaded me to step out of the role of playing my gender. Normally, I don't really like playing male characters -- and of course, there are many games that only have a male PC, which causes for me to not feel attached to the game and character but romancing Morrigan as a male Warden was a good experience. I don't know if I will play male in DAI but it is not to say that it isn't a possibility. I just prefer to play female characters (when given the chance in a game).
With the romances for DAI,. I'm excited that there are a good variety with interesting characters. I've wanted to romance Cullen for a while now but Blackwall, Josie (she's so adorable!) and Iron Bull ( those horns...muscles...
) are also interesting characters. So it'll just be a lot to determine which quizzy I'll role as first... *sigh* I was so dead-set on who I would role as first....I was going to go with fems Trevelyan (Cullen) -- Aadar (Josie) -- Cadash (Blackwall) -- Lavellan (Iron Bull) but now...so many options and possibilities....I feel so spoilt. ![]()

Yes, many options but there is only one I'm interested in for a DAI romance......Cullen. I'm sure the other characters will be great but Cullen is the only one that makes me squee ![]()
(better make sure I take my Blood Pressure medicine before that love scene...or I might not finish the game)

*snort* There are few "story reasons" I can think of to make a character straight. I'm sure they concocted a reason though as to why he'll only fall in love with an elf. But it comes down to resources and time. They had a little time to add more romances, so they picked Solas and Cullen. Both race-gated and gender-gated because they couldn't afford to do otherwise. And straight because, as a dev mentioned previously, it just would be unheard of to make an "extra" LI gay.
It is what it is. It's a massive, massive disappointment, when I think of all the romances I'll be missing out on. I mean I only ever played one romance in DAO, and same with ME. But I've played all the DA2 ones. It's just sad (for me personally).
It's why I felt like they shouldn't have added them at all if they were just going to gate them so heavily. But then even more fans than me would've missed out. And I'm sure the remaining Cullen and Solas fans wouldn't want that
I don't think there needs to be a story reason for it, he just simply likes women, same as gay men like males and lesbians like females. I'm curious about why Solas and Cullen won't romance certain races though, there's definitely a story reason behind that... for Solas, at least.

I know it is not a popular suggestion...but maybe Solas simply wants elven children who can grow up with both their parents in a Dalish clan. If so at least it suggests that NPC LIs have their own character traits and agendas...which is good.
That said Elven female quizzie is going to be a blast to play because of the raining men angle...LOL

Maybe Cullen will only romance you whilst wearing the fluffy pelt, thus only humans and elves won't cause clipping. lol
Edit: Do we know if there is a height adjuster in the CC?

I'm actually wondering if with Cullen we will see a reverse preference to Fenris. Cullen possibly being more open to a mage romance than a warrior/rogue one. As so many of you seem to be playing a mage first, I'll roll warrior for the Cullenite science experiment...

Is there something wrong with me if I don't normally enjoy rolling a mage? Don't say it... I'm a rogue girl all the way.

It never occurred to me before, damn, fem!Lavellan is going to have a lot of male attention.
Time to implement a new schedule for work clothing for male Inquisition members, which has the benefit of carrying over to the next day.
Casual Monday, Shirtless Tuesday, Trouserless Wednesday, Leave Your Hat On Thursday and Commando Friday. Naturally this will be followed by a two-day-long Sexual Harrassment Seminar on the Weekend...
