It never occurred to me before, damn, fem!Lavellan is going to have a lot of male attention.

 

Time to implement a new schedule for work clothing for male Inquisition members, which has the benefit of carrying over to the next day.

 

Casual Monday, Shirtless Tuesday, Trouserless Wednesday, Leave Your Hat On Thursday and Commando Friday. Naturally this will be followed by a two-day-long Sexual Harrassment Seminar on the Weekend...

 

 

I'm really tempted to play as an Elf the first time round just to watch the majority try their luck, LOL!

I wonder if we'll have anyone as persistent as Anders this time 'round. I mean, I'm going on the assumption that IB is going to be an Isabela type where he makes it clear that he's available any time for a fling but I felt like Anders was the most forward with his desires or intentions... even if it did turn out all he wanted was a safe place to crash while I collected poo for his bomb.

I don't think there needs to be a story reason for it, he just simply likes women, same as gay men like males and lesbians like females. I'm curious about why Solas and Cullen won't romance certain races though, there's definitely a story reason behind that... for Solas, at least.

 

 If he was Dalish I would understand why he wouldn't enter into a romance with the other races because of the keeping Dalish culture and elves pure-thing.  And as far as I'm aware, we don't have much to go on about Solas' character but maybe he just prefers his own race and opposite gender?  which I realise is an unsatisfactory proposal but the little information that we have of him isn't enough to say "yeah, Solas isn't attracted to (insert) so that's why (insert) he prefers female dalish elves. 

 

As for Cullen.  I'm pretty sure that it has been stated somewhere already that he's just not into Kossiths and dwarves.  Which is fine considering that not everyone is going to share the same cup of preferences as each other. 

 

When the romances were all revealed (when I was lurking on the forum) I was quite disappointed by the amount of people who were bitterly (and vocally) disappointed that they weren't able to romance x but got z instead. And I feel that the choices that the devs made when it came to allocating which of the characters were to be romanceable is quite realistic.   In real-life, you see this everyday.  You may like someone, so very very much (and we've all been there) but there's no guarantee that that person will like you back because of many reasons. 

 

All in all, I'm just grateful that we have choices and a chance to have a lot of replay value for the game as sometimes with some games, I find that once I've completed the game, the reply value goes down the drain. 

 

 

 

Now...as for Cullen's outfit....now that's nice.  I particularly like the lionhead helmet.    I wonder if it symbolises anything?  If it does...

What would be really funny while playing a lady Elf is to see all the boys try their luck only to be shot down in favor of Sera who would of course gloat about it. She doesn't strike me as the sporting type.

Rambo?  Oh, no, I know you weren't knocking it.  I'm relatively new to the whole quote system -- just figured out how to actually quote a person today!  The first bit were I commented about Cullen and Solas were referenced to your comment about speculating although I agree that there must be more to it than Solas doesn't like x and Cullen doesn't like z  but I then went off on a tangent that was not directed at you or anyone, I was just making an observation and how impressed I am that they romances are more realistic like in real life.  So apologies if you thought I had.  Personally, I find replay value with bioware games way more satisfactory than the replay value of games like Skyrim.    So, that's why I mentioned how grateful I am when it comes to having choices in a game because most often time, the choices in other games can be very limited and disappointing.  Again, I'm sorry if I may have offended you.  English is not my first language, so sometimes I take a long time to translate properly, sometimes I miss things in translation.  Plus I like doing the italics.

The only reason I've hesitated to make an elf for my first PT and let the guys fight it out (and pick my LI based on who has the best romance story) is that I'm not that wild about the Dalish, so if/when I do a Dalish PT, it'll be specifically for the Solas romance (unless the Dalish are a lot less arrogant toward other elves than in DAO).

 

I'm not so sure that IB will necessarily be the guy making the passes right off, though that seems likely (he may just have lots of opportunities due to physique). There have been hints about Blackwall and sex actually (and he is a grey warden). Though wouldn't it be hilarious (and hear the screams of outrage) if Cullen turns out to be the one who comes on quickly? I admit, it would be such a personality reversal that I'd wonder about desire demons, but I ask myself things like that so I don't let myself get too set in what I think the NPCs personalities will be.

Maybe he learned from the Solona/Amell situation that it's best to speak out sooner than later, otherwise you might never have the chance to tell that person how you feel?

And attention from the ladies too! Clearly female elves are like catnip to these people. We're going to have to be pushing them off with a baseball bat! I'm almost scared of talking to half of them in case I accidentally lock myself into a romance before I get my hands on Cullen.

In DA2 he still has a major crush on Amell...'I knew an Amell once, never met her like again...' let's hope he grows out of that little fixation, because being in another persons romance shadow is creepy.

Flirt options will he present in a subwheel With their own icon, so I think it'll be relatively easy to avoid Other romances.

Even if he did, it was in act 1, roughly One year and half after the Blight. He could've moved on Already in the other Two acts.

Solas isn't Dalish, but female Elven quizzie is. DAO, DA2 and Masked Empire all show that Elves with magical abilities are welcome to join Dalish tribes...for the first time in his life he'll be running towards something rather than away from it.
