Everyone is going on and on about how we won't be able to mod the game. So I don't see the point in spending 400 extra dollars to get the game on PC.

People can mod any game given enough time and motivation.  Hell, fans created their own rudimentary modding tools just to be able to mod ME3, which is a game with no toolset and no mod support.  The tools were robust enough to change the endings, adjust Thane's romance arc, add sound and art, etc.  Not having a toolset makes modding significantly harder, but it does not make it impossible.

Modding a game that's not "meant" to be modded, like ME3 or DA:I, comes with lots of extra challenges for the end-user too.  Installation usually involves more than unzipping a file to override.  If you break it, it's a lot harder to fix.  Things that might seem simple (hair mods for ME3, for example) can involve a lot of work, down to messing with vertices on the headmorph.

TL;DR--Mods can happen, just don't expect them to be easy to use or as extensive as, say, DA:O or Skyrim.

I'm waffling on the PC thing again =\ I may go with a next gen console instead. Everyone is going on and on about how we won't be able to mod the game. So I don't see the point in spending 400 extra dollars to get the game on PC.

I like having both a PC and a laptop, but I use my computers for my work as well, including contract work and working from home, so it's what-I-already-have. For me to use a console, I'd also have to buy a TV  . To me, a computer is a lot more multipurpose than a console, but if you aren't going to use it for anything except DAI, it may not be worth it. Though I agree that we'll eventually see some mods.

To mix things up. Same reason we have bisexuals and homosexuals in the game, it's just how the devs/writers wanted to do it this time around, rather than them all being bi like in DA2 (Seb doesn't count).

Exactly.  This offers far more replayability than what DA2 offered.  I look forward to rolling a hot male inquisitor for Dorian, a cute Dwarf for Iron Bull, as well as one for Cullen of course.

I think its sad that so many people in this fandom want the writers/developers to change their creation just to suit their needs.

Modding ME3 is especially a pain in the butt to do. One mistake and you have reinstall EVERYTHING.

They were able to mod ME3 because it was built in Unreal engine 3 witch you can download for free off their website so technically they did have support  Frostbite engine doesn't allow ppl to download it like the Unreal engine so thats where it becomes harder, not even Battlefeild doesn't really have mods just one that changes color and thats about it  and even that as simple as it sounds took about 1 year or 2 to make

Right, this is what I keep hearing. So it's looking like DAI won't be moddable, period. I mean, other than being able to turn my armor blue or something. No hair mods, skin texture mods, etc. And DEFINITELY no romance mods! But I had given up on that a long time ago (given up on romancing who I wanted). I was willing to settle for what I'd been given, so long as I could eventually mod them a bit, but even that looks impossible. It is just so damn frustrating. And it's why I'd rather spend 400 dollars to play DAI than 800.

I'm back to being very torn between whether I should go for the Cousland (and queen)  or the Amell backstory for my first playthrough. I want to hear Cullen make a reference to my mage Warden, but I *really* also want a world state where my Warden is queen and still married to Alistair. Especially if the Warden has gone missing for some reason.

Decisions, decisions...

Yeah, same; kept crashing, but then I finally got to see the whole thing :D

To those who aren't in the Keep yet: honestly, it would be better to experience these awesome things once they're bug free lol Don't feel too bad. You get to see the glittery finished product.

Devs said that Anders is dead if you murder-knifed him.  Justice, on the other hand, is up for grabs  <_<

I gave up trying, it kept crashing on me too. I'll try again later on. It's all looking fab though :D.

I'm a really, really bad eater, incredibly fussy about how food looks and smells and pretty much a pain in the ass to feed lol, it got me thinking about food and diet in Thedas and if Cullen or any other companions would/could have likes/dislikes for certain foody things or if they just eat what is served to them and don't grumble about it, imagine if Cullen was vegetarian, would that be healthy for a soldier given the lack of supplements available? I don't know lol.

Do you see Cullen as the hunter type? for some reason, I find it really hard to imagine him hunting and killing rabbits or deer, I suppose most soldiers or travellers probably would but I just can't picture him doing it.

My Inquisitor certainly wouldn't hunt, she's a gatherer lol if left to her own devices, it would be berries all the way whilst on missions, what about you guys, would your quizzys be the hunter or the gatherer?. Although I imagine most, if not all of our travelling companions would be more than capable of supplying dinner.

Yeah. It could be someone else, it could just be the decaying corpse of Anders. Depends if Justice decided to move out or could afford to pay the rent without the roommate.

Yeah. I wonder if anything will come of that.
