I had a massive crush on him the second I met him But I played the game two years after release so knew he wasn't a LI or anything.

 

I think I've just played too many BioWare games.  Mass Effect 1 and Jade Empire's plot twists still managed to get me--Jade Empire, BTW, is still my favorite plot twist ever.  But by the time I got to Dragon Age, I took one look at Duncan and went, "Yep, you're a dead man walking.  Not going to get attached to you!"

 

Sometimes my genre-savvy sense makes no difference, though.  I knew Anders was bad news, but cheerfully hopped along for that trainwreck of a romance anyway

Anders is just so dreamy.

 

And yeah, BioWare always has had a character like that, so by the time I played Origins, I was like "oh no... and I like him too. Drat!"

Yeah, she looked bloody miserable. Or like she was doing that duck face. Plus I hated her vallaslin. This one is so much better because it's (probably) the Ghilain'nain one that I'm going for. I actually want to see the complex version for once though. If there is one. I might even be going for that hair depending on how it looks from behind! So I'm loving this pic.

I think it's the braided bun we've seen earlier. Look up human hair for Inquisition.

I'm kind of new to this thread too and I certainly hadn't forgotten about you and I'm glad you are feeling a little better and de-lurked again

I hope you haven't or won't ever feel uncomfortable or pushed out, it's natural that on the Cullen thread, there is going to be a lot of Cullen and Cullen romance chat but I don't believe anyone would intentionally over-squee just to be horrid to those of you who are disappointed. Most of the more recent chat has been more general regarding Cullen anyway and as you can see, loads of OT chat about the CC, Twitch and such (every page or so we have to chuck in a Cullen to keep on topic lol) .

 

Like Blackwall, Duncan kind of reminded me of my Uncle lol, no romantic notions for him from me I also guessed he was going to die, some characters just have that thing about them. That tarot is a bit a bit nightmarish though lol.

 

That elf is really pretty! although I think I would change the colour of her eyebrows, I'd prefer them slightly darker than the head hair.

You know, I normally select "hide helmets" but I don't want to hide Cole's adorable hat! I might have to put up with ugly mage hats and helmets this go round

LOL I always do, too. But I also want Cole's hat and Viv's hat to show... so in that case, I'll just do what I did in DA:O, and sacrifice safety for fashion.

Yeah, it's just because these seem so much smaller than in other games. Maybe it's because they're forcing them on us this time? Not that I dislike this new vallaslin style. I like that they are more intricate and swanky now.
