Ok, if I'm reading "outside of involvement in a specific plot" correctly, this means that we will at the very least get to see them doing their thing outside of Skyhold at some point. This pleases me.  I am satisfied.

I think it does look Cullen, the scar and eyes--he just looks younger--he hasn't had years of working as a Templar to stress him out yet, is all   Your artwork is beautiful

More like he got tired of getting called old and bought some quality makeup. That being said... it's Cullen for sure.

Well, if the promotional material is to be believed he'll join you on the field occasionally, just not as one of your three companions.

What I'd hope is that if you're romancing/pursuing Cullen or Josephine their blossoming relationship with your Inquisitor would be recognised in the quests where they make an appearance. For example, if you sent Cullen into Redcliffe and he got captured then when you cut him loose from the chains you'd embrace or you/he could say something that hints at yours/his feelings etc.

Oh I'll live with it lol something is better than nothing, but when I am picking IB, Blackwall or Cass I will be doing it begrudgingly!

Y'know, thinking about it, if they've put this much effort into making sure all the romances/content for companions and advisors are equal then I'm probably worrying over nothing with the advisor relationships being recognised. I mean, it's not like any of them are DLC companion/romances so they won't be treated like an afterthought or anything, like Seb was in DA2.

That reminds me of Fable 3 where it would Fade to black, you'd hear the bed squeaking and the npc would be like "ooooh, naughty boy!", "oi, not there!", *barks like a dog*... bloody hilarious!
