I prefer no companion flirting, since the option to politely turn them down is often absent.

I'd very much prefer if some of the LI's did first move or even ninjamanced my character than that I always have to be the first who flirts. I think this feature could be tied in approval so when LI likes your quizzy enough as friend they would try to flirt with them. Some of my quizzys are more shy so it'll be harder to headcanon that they make first move.
It's just bummer that they don't have this anymore : (
Exactly! Sometimes it just seems so unfitting of my character to be making the moves, that and a lot of the time I don't like the way the flirting is handled because it can easily still seem out of character the way they do it, even if the character is the flirting type.

Yep I don't like the flirting options sometimes. I hope that the romances are more based on hidden approval (without it being too hard to achieve) than you picking every flirting option. In ME2 it was pretty much about hitting every flirting option and I failed romancing Thane cause I didn't want to pick flirt option one time.. in that scene he was mourning over his wife who died and the flirting option was: hey I'm here, focus on me! (not exactly but that's how it sounded to me ^^). I just don't like romances that way since they feel more like just pushing right buttons than them actually liking you.

Yeah, it's hard to play a shy character; you can get away with it at some point with Zevran, but eventually you have to come back to him and basically say, "Okay, I'm ready to have sex, let's do this." lol Which was pretty ooc for my Tabris, but at least I did have the opportunity to tell him I wasn't ready initially. That was sweet.

Urgh, why is it that Physiotherapists are so mean, so much for making me feel better, I'm in agony today lol
I've missed so many pages....
In a odd kind of way, I'm quite glad Cullen isn't a full on party member this time around, in the previous DA games & ME, I always felt I had to take my LI in my party, it became quite restrictive for me. At least this way, I should be able to jumble my party around to my hearts content
.
Your art is lovely Adela, his eyes look so deep in thought
.
I really enjoyed your latest chapter R2, looking forward to the next one
I really like the relationship that seems to be building between Hawke & Cullen, can't wait to read more!
I'm split with the companion flirting, on one hand, I'd love for a Cullen to take the lead in initiating the romance. I don't want ninja'd though and I'd hate for companions you turn down to take the grump. I think it would have been tricky for the writers to put in so many variables though, so my Inquisitors will just need to take their dose of bravery pills and do the chasing lol.
48days to go......that's great and bad at the same time, seems like no time atall but I think it will likely be the longest month ever lol.

I understand why they nixed the companions initiating romances, but it would be nice if there was a very subtle way for your Inquisitor to knowingly trigger the romance so playing someone a little shy was a real option. Not that most of mine would be, but my human mage, Ryumka, will be somewhat shy. I imagine her as having been caught between Templar cousins who detested her and mages who distrusted her connections to the Templars and Chantry, and who has spent most of her life trying to not be noticed at all, but also with a lot of experience at not showing fear or nervousness after so much bullying.

Guys I am dying of laughter from MD's latest video! I was the one who asked, "Would you rather have Cullen go Lyrium crazy, Blackwall die, or go through the raw feelings of Alistair's death. I also asked "Would you rather be held captive by the feather guy from DA2, or be turned into a Broodmother." I asked one more...but I can't really remember which one, it may had been the one with Blackwall dying or go through his taint. Anyway I can't believe she some of mine, it made me laugh so hard!

First time post here for me,
I have always had a soft spot for Cullen and I am very glad to see him have a romance option.
My favourite mod for DA:O was the kiss Cullen mod for female mages (I forget who made it). It was brilliant.

Yeah, most of the options to turn companions down ends up often coming across rather tactless, harsh or just mean. If we could have the option to gently say, "I'm sorry, I just don't feel that way..." it'd be wonderful, instead of the "I want you to stop. Now." kind of reactions the Warden and Hawke tended to have in those situations.

I know. I was playing Dragon Age 2 yesterday with a diplomatic male-mage Hawke, and Anders flirted with him a bit. And...Hawke did come off a bit rude. Granted, Anders was a bit ruder, but eh. The response to turn him down could have been done better.
Honestly, I understand why people were uncomfortable with it. I think it was more of how Anders reacted than just the fact he did flirt. If it was handled better on his side, I think people would be more accepting. Especially with the rivalry points (which is funny that I got some then...but not with my female Hawke who actually KISSED him and then decided she wanted to stick with Fenris!)

Welcome! I pray we get a mod so that my inquisitor can kiss him, too
Still haven't ordered my PC yet, btw; now that I finally have a second credit card, the Dell refurbished website is a ghost town! *pouts*

I still find it funny that people scream for realism, but freak out when an NPC makes the first move. Someone flirting with you out of the blue is the most real life scenario you could add to a romance. Yes, I know, but Anders! But, when you make all romances introverted about romance you lose a key part of that character. I would like it if a character flirted with my PC and I had to respond to it. I think they would need a "Whoa no way" option for people who wish to not start the romance.

So, word to the wise... if you have a female name and avatar on YouTube and say you prefer all bi LIs, you become automatically categorized as a yaoi-loving girly girl with a fetish for hot gay sex. And this will come at you from all sides, not just from straight bros ![]()

Seriously, even assuming I identified as female... if watching pixelated fade to black scenes turned me on, I'm just not looking in the right places for my porn....
EDIT: I'll try for once to post a Cullen ToP pic... *goes Googling*
