So I just fully finished Solona...and committed the Ultimate Sacrifice. Some of you might remember me mentioning her a few times in asking what path I should take with the Alistair romance, I went down the Mistress route but then when I got to the end I just could not see Solona ending any other way. So all I have to say is...the feels are back.
I found one video that kind of just illustrates how I am feeling and the other would be a tribute to Solona's life, lol!
I think the second video goes perfectly with a Circle Mage's life and even a Grey Warden's life, what do you guys think? Any songs or videos you think could be the theme for a certain group or person?
I come bearing a gift (and apparently also an innuendo)!
Saw the page count on this thread and was like "Mother of Maker..."
You Cullenites truly are a dedicated bunch (I see that other characters are discussed from time to time as well, so that's cool). Nice to see people come together and talk about something/someone they really enjoy. I apologize on behalf of anyone who comes in bashing you all for it. I'll rile friends up who are Cullenites sometimes, but it's usually in good fun and good taste.
Cheers, and can't wait for November 18th/21st!!!

Hurricane, by 30 seconds to Mars wound up being the theme for my crazy diamond Hawke, Anders, and their epic trainwreck of a relationship.
Spoiler
Ready for some real feels? I like this song for my Mahariel who was in love with Tamlen and can't accept that he's truly gone. And eventually, like your Warden, committed the US.

EDIT: Oh this appears to be a version with no lyrics! But that erases so many feels! Behold:
I've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone
But though you're still with me
I've been alone all along

Not meaning to go off topic, but I am on my second playthrough on DA2, with a male-mage Hawke who is a diplomat. In some ways, he supports the templars, but he sympathizes with the mages and does try to help. For example, he allowed Fenyriel to choose to go to the Dalish because they may know more about his magic than the Circle. However, he does have those associated with blood magic go to the Circle. The only reason he doesn't turn Merrill in because she seems to be using it for her people and not hurting anyone. So he wants to be able to convince her to stop using it. He is also going to enter a rivalmance with Isabela.
Here comes a predicament...Kelder, the mage who killed the elves. I am conflicted on what to do with that. On one hand, I can see Hawke spare him and send him back to his father, hoping he could help, and he thinks its the templars' job to choose his fate. That also helps me receive rivalry points with Isabela, which I DESPERATELY need. On the other hand...he did kill a Tevinter slave blood mage...granted he knew that the guards or templars probably wouldn't do anything to him...

My Immortal is just such a great song, Evanescence was a great band so I really find their songs to be perfect fits with my characters. And yeah I chose this version instead*even though I love the actual song*, since I found the violin a litte more haunting than the piano in the actual video.
I just keep getting this feeling that Cullen in the IQ's romance is going to have My Immortal be the theme for it...I can see it right now, lol!

Ah that is a cool song, I have it in quite a few of my playlists. I also think My Heart is a Fist, by Papa Roach is a great song for Hawke and Anders.

I probably can't really help since every time I did that mission, I offed Kelder...the dude was psycho plus he was mentally disabled at least I think so. So it really is kind of a mercy kill and a satisfying kill as well...I probably just made you more confused...XD

Oh no! I get what you're saying. XD I usually off him too, so...I am trying to stay consistent with my characters, which is why I am conflicted. Same thing with Grace...I don't know whether to turn her over to the mages or let her go free. Part of me is thinking the former since he may believe she could be a blood mage too who needs watching.

My (m)Hawke was already half in love with Fenris by the time he reached the confrontation with Kelder. Plus he took Merrill along during the quest. There was no way Kelder was walking out there in one piece, shrug. I love the way Hawke looks at him, incredulous, "Wait a minute ... you torture and kill elves for being too beautiful?!" He doesn't even let Fenris make the kill, mind you. Too disgusted.
WELL...I also want more rivalry points with Isabela...and I think she just hit the bit of red.

I try to stay in character as much as can, and I seem to be able to do that for most decisions but there are always a few choices that make me break character. Most of those decisions are in DA:O but some are in DAII...like Kelder or Anders, Fenris, Isabela, etc.
As for Grace well it sounds like your character seems to be understanding type but also cautious so I think he would probably turn her over, but that is IMO. I typically let Grace go since Anders is usually in my party...even though the fool gets captured anyways *sighs*.
I may sound rather daft but who is this templar by the name of Hugh? I saw the name a few pages back and I have no idea who that is...haha...Who...Hugh...I'm terrible!
BTW does anyone remember the tweet by ML that said something about Griffins, I am trying to find it. I want to make sure that it said there would be Griffins...but I am not sure.

...Helps I am rivaling Anders this time too. XD But yeah, my male Hawke is the opposite of my female Hawke, who was pro mage through and through...and a flirt and sarcastic.
He just tries to do what is best for everyone...yeah, I am offing Kelder. I have two more acts to max out Isabela's rivalry. XD

I have tried to have a Pro Templar Hawke, but every time I end up supporting the mages even if my Hawke agreed with the Templars more. I don't know just something inside me makes me side with the Mages, and I have to say...be careful with Anders...that mage has ninjamanced quite a few of my Hawkes. As for Isabela, I love that character and I think I romanced two or three times; so good luck in pursuing her!

I believe this is going to be my first...I romanced Merrill at least once, Anders a couple times, and...Fenris for the rest. XD But thanks! My other two Hawkes I plan will be pro-Templar, one romancing Merrill (mainly because I want to see that scene where Meredith wanted to kill Merrill at the climax of Act 3) and another romancing Sebastian.
I often romanced Merril and Isabella. I romanced Anders once and Fenris once too. I also romanced Sebastian once but I was disappointed by the latter.

Yes, the US is great for the feels. I've actually only gone that route once, my DN for various reasons (though I actually played it from the point of the DR decision twice, just to see both). Most of my wardens liked Morrigan and were OK with the DR. Myself, I think creating a world state for DAI in which an Amell romanced Leliana and made the US could make for an interesting relationship between Leliana and Cullen.
I love Lindsey Sterling, by the way, good music choices.
My Immortal is just such a great song.
That was a song? I thought we were talking about the fan fiction. ![]()
I just keep getting this feeling that Cullen in the IQ's romance is going to have My Immortal be the theme for it...I can see it right now, lol!
Honestly? I really don't think so. I think it's going to be a pretty "Happily Ever After" traditional romance. I do think they really had the fans in mind when they decide to write the romance, and there probably was not time to toss in a whole lot of drama. Unless Cullen or the inquisitor dies no matter what at the end of the game, I don't see it being an angst-ridden romance.
I'm playing DA2 again just to pass the time, and I made a connection I never have before:
The templar that allowed Malcolm Hawke to leave reminds me very much of Cullen allowing Hawke to leave.
Tobrius said:
"He allowed your father to leave Kirkwall. "Rule is not served by caging the best of us." A wise man."
"Doubt can serve the faithful, even as it vexes them. I fear this has been lost."
"Such a friendship. Few like your father remain. Even fewer like the templar."
Awesome piece of foreshadowing, I think. ![]()
So tomorrow is the original release date for Inquisition... WE ARE SO CLOSE NOW
6 weeks!
Either is going to go very quickly or drawn out like it has so far. I don't think we'll hear much more about the characters, in some regards I want to know more about Cullen but then I want to be able to discover it in game
