Honestly? I really don't think so. I think it's going to be a pretty "Happily Ever After" traditional romance. I do think they really had the fans in mind when they decide to write the romance, and there probably was not time to toss in a whole lot of drama. Unless Cullen or the inquisitor dies no matter what at the end of the game, I don't see it being an angst-ridden romance.
I'd like to think so...then I remember that tweet. I can't remember which dev, DG or PW made a comment on a fanfiction and said that the author would not be disappointed. In the fanfiction the Elven Mage inquisitor returned to her clan pregnant with Cullens child, then sent it to him when it was born as she was unable to raise it within the Dalish system.
'I am steeling myself for what is to come' (Cullens voice in the Templar ending)....
Personal nightmares for the Cullen romance;
Ultimate Sacrifice variant, quizzy dies.
Cullen dies at Redcliffe, or saving quizzy at the end.
Cullen turns out to be some noble and dumps us.
Cullen betrays a quizzy he doesn't get on with like Maferath did to Andraste.
Elven quizzy goes back to clan leaving Cullen behind.
Human mage gets locked up in a new version of a Circle tower.
Human quizzy inherits Ostwick but has to marry a noble and Cullen isn't one.
Lyrium addiction.
I have spent too much time thinking about the many, many ways that Bioware may give us a tragic love story....
