hard to tell.. but it sounds like the british quizzy to me.

We don't get quite enough of his voice at once to be sure, but I'd lean to British too, unless it's a regional US accent. Where is the American VA from?

Both Curry and Montano are supposed to have Midwest accents. It doesn't mean much to me on this side of the Atlantic, but I'm assuming it's just a 'neutral' American accent

LOL Because that's... um... better??

Well, they could be fresher if nothing else. Skyhold is not exactly near any bodies of water... Or is it?

But yeah, I want to know what's going on with those things. And if they are for eating, I want to see it happen on screen!

I'm still hoping we get a banquet scene with everyone. That ends in a food fight. For reasons...

That doesn't sound American to me. Are you sure he isn't the English voice option? (forgot his name)

Yes, its not the british voice.

The british voice is deeper and sounds more dramatic.

There are river eels, so possibly fresh. A food fight sounds like fun! My Zhenya would love to start it if it was an option.

OK, maybe it's just because we only get a few words at a time, but midwest is the last one I'd have guessed if I was told his was an American accent (assuming Milan92 is correct). Well, almost last, it was clear he wasn't from the southeast or strongly accented northeastern areas.

Can I be invited to the spoiler group too? I'm too curious!

By the way, hi cullenites! I've been following this thread for a while and was planning on doing so until release but all this talk of spoilers really made me get out of the box.

Edit: Thank you!

The one I watched had the British male voice.

... I'll be honest, so far none of the VOs have sounded like they have much personality to their voices like Hawke did... I guess that's in part due to tone. Hopefully they'll be a bit more vocally animated when it comes to proper conversations with the companions and advisors!

Ink. Seriously, maybe they are there for ink extraction, like squids used to be.

It honestly sounds like the british one to me. He doesn't always have to sound dramatic.

Don't read the Red Templar thread....untagged spoiler alert.

As we get nearer the game...the threads I read are getting smaller, walked into Blackwalls yesterday and ran out again...

Possible, Altho eels don't seem to have ink. They're mostly used as food or, apparently, poison.

My own thought is, if not food, auguring. Potion- or poison-making atop the War Table doesn't make a lot of sense.

Sadly it's prob just table dressing and left to our improper imaginations. Aphrodisiac to accompany Hard in Hightown 2??

Now that you mention it....

It does sound like how the british one said, "I'm hunted for the power I wield."

Edit: Seems you were right. :)

I think its because we haven't really seen them during cutscenes much. Only just small talk.

Hawke had the same during those moments

Or Leliana has been feeding bullshit stories to Cassandra about Morrigan wearing eels. Remember that banter with Sten?

Morrigan: You look at me as though I were covered in eels.

Sten: Eels would be something.

Cassandra must have collected those as 'evidence'. Just like that copy of Hard in Hightown 2.

I still think she pronounces "s" 's weirdly but I'm still picking british for my human or qunari lady, not sure which one yet.

I'm suddenly laughing at the idea of having to milk the eels for ink:

Most Cephalopods have ink, Moray Eels give a sepia ink.

From wiki: The ink is released from the ink sacs (located between the gills) and is dispersed more widely by accompanying its release with a jet of water from the siphon. Its dark colour is caused by its main constituent, melanin. Each species of cephalopod produces slightly differently coloured inks; generally, octopuses produce black ink, squid ink is blue-black and cuttlefish ink is brown.

Possible, Altho eels don't seem to have ink. They're mostly used as food or, apparently, poison.

I used to have a pet Moray Eel in my aquarium. Fascinating creatures. They appear aggressive due to their constant open mouth state but in fact they are usually quite docile..

Agreed! Maybe we should all come up with something silly to pass the remaining time. Like we did with the ugly Christmas sweaters. Hmmm... perhaps something Halloween related? I have zero photoshop skills but it might be fun to have a Cullen / Thedas costume party.

What do all of you think?  :)
