Hm, I've never heard of tranquility being reversed other thsn temporarily (like with Karl). Is that something from the books?
Yeah, it's a major plot point in Asunder.

I think I need to start reading the books. Do the reversed tranquil go back to what they were like before?
I think I preferred it as a permanent thing, though. It doesn't feel like as much of an atrocity if it can be fixed. But I guess it's not a simple thing to reverse.
It is permanent if you do it like Pharamond, the Tranquil in the book, did it. Except, instead of normal emotions, their emotional is amped up immensely.
I think Cullen is at least as religious as Sebastian if not more so, but I think Cullen would approach religion in a completely different way.
Sebastian's religion was very much evident on the surface. He talked about it a lot, he displayed it prominently, he proselytized and tried to bring other people around to his way of thinking. (That's not meant as a criticism, for the record. Those are his beliefs, and he has a right to them.)
I see Cullen's religion as much more internal. I see him as more the type to pray silently in his head or alone in the chantry. I don't think he'd talk much about religion unless the other person brought up the subject. I think he would be very devout, I just see faith as being more of a private and personal thing for him.

Hm... this question is more loaded than you realize. ![]()
No, not exactly. And in this particular case there was a heavy price.
I'm sorry you're not feeling good!

(this is how I comfort my partner when he is sick!)
Thanks! That made me LOL!
I need to share that with everyone at work; we've all (staff and residents) been passing this sinus bug around.

I'm still rooting for arcane warrior, he wouldn't even need to change S&S to be that ^^
Today, 7 weeks exactly until E3 starts. Hopefully EA will have their press conference one day before on Monday the 9th of June as they always do.
Buckle your seat belts people, they are about to unleash the fade. My guess is will start now and ramp up quick. ![]()
I remember this time last year. Some coverart would have lasted us weeks (and not hours), ripping it to pieces, analysing every scrap before people got bored and started complaining about wanting more info. This time last year we knew Nuffink John Snow.
What about those that can't stand living as a mage? Those that can't stand the demon whispering in their sleep, or that have nightmares? Those that are terrified of the chance of becoming an abomination?I think it's pretty simple, really; if someone turns into an abomination, kill 'em

Thedas equivalent of anti-anxiety/depression pills?
Education, counseling, reassurance, and not telling young people that they are cursed by magic and that the Maker hates them?
I don't think the answer to any of those situations is "Here, have a lobotomy!" (You do know that in the early part of the 20th century lobotomies were used on the mentally ill.) But that is what makes the situation interesting from a narrative perspective.
@Galagraphia (sorry If I misspelled it!) so I wanted to ask you a personal opinion question since you like Greagoir- and if this makes you uncomfortable I'm really sorry and you can just say "Quiet you!" And I won't bother you with it!
but! From lurking in other threads I've noticed a kinda 50/50 split that fans of Greagoir discuss. Some people think he is in a romantic relationship (or in the very least is in love with) Wynne or Irving. What do you think? Any thoughts or ideas about it? I literally don't have an opinion either way but I definitely haven't evaluated his character to the degree you have so I wanted your input! Just because I'm curious
I don't think he's in relationship with anybody. I suppose it may be difficult to understand when one of the funniest parts of this fandom is to ship everything with everybody. But some people just don't need romantic relationships, sex, families, kids, whatever. Greagoir seems to be content with just serving the Maker, maybe it fills his life with meaning, and gives him satisfaction, and his faith comforts him when things get bad.
I had the impression that he's only strict to others because he's even more strict to himself. And maybe he gets softer eventually because the understanding of other people and their weaknesses comes to him with age and experience.
Oh, and you asked about the comic. Here it is. I think it's still available on Amazon.

Granted, nobody knows until Asunder (few knew about Karl) wha Tranquility really means, but with the current knowledge a mage can make a decision knowing what they're giving up.
True. Orana's story still influences much of what I believe about Tranquility.
And in between now and E3 I think we can expect two Follower Fridays and lots of semi-spoilery tweets and concept art. It will be glorious.Today, 7 weeks exactly until E3 starts. Hopefully EA will have their press conference one day before on Monday the 9th of June as they always do.

Look what I found
Where did you find it? And is there a bigger version anywhere??

Found it floating on the DA Wiki.

... I can't help but see this as the Inquisitor scratching the dragon's belly like a dog and the dragon grinning with enjoyment.
I'm a terrible human being.
Well,we all secretly want our own pet dragon, don't we?

@Samara, did you see the part 2 to my snippet from yesterday?
*delurks*
You've made me do it! I've been following this thread since it started and the other Cullen thread since the 4000 celebration. Your story snippet was absolutely beautiful! It had me in tears. (Do you know what it's like to try and hide tears from your family?
) It really hit home for me so much because I plan on playing a male mage inquisitor who romances Cullen on my first playthrough. Massive kudos!
*huggles* Good luck on that research paper!!!

I've really enjoyed everyone's posts in here. 'Tis a wonderful place to be!
Welcome, and stay delurked!
