No weapons. Everyone else is armed to the tooth and there is not a weapon on our lad.

Those that had weapons on are companions. Those without weapons were NPCs.

 

Seriously? When did that become a defining factor of companions? Besides, he could still have a weapon - Cass's sword is hip mounted. And it's hard to tell from where he's standing. Are we sure that it isn't only selected companions - to be in party as chosen by the player - that have weapons? And I only see 7 with weapons so... Sorry 8.

Alright, they said "A Blast that killed 1000s." Lord have mercy, I'm betting it ended up killing the Divine.

So, Cullen's armor is similar to the leak, but also different. No flappy bits and no sword of mercy that I can see.

Seriously? When did that become a defining factor of companions? Besides, he could still have a weapon - Cass's sword is hip mounted. And it's hard to tell from where he's standing. Are we sure that it isn't only selected companions - to be in party as chosen by the player - that have weapons?

 

Well, nine of them have weapons, three of them don't. Only nine companions for the Inquisitor. Unless you're suggesting one of the armed ones can be, ah, swapped with Cullen, I am thinking we are out of luck in the companion compartment. 

 

I am just so bloody glad we know now. Or, I suppose, that I'm reasonably sure. What a load off.
