I'm trying not to speculate too much about Cullen (or about the game in general) because I don't really want to get attached to a headcanon and then need to redraft. That said, I've really enjoyed looking at all the lovely Cullen photos and fiction in this thread.
I'm currently torn between saving a romance with him for an AmellCanon playthrough or if I'll just give into temptation when I roll up my QueenCouslandCanon, which is my canon as she was the first Warden I finished the game with.
The decision between Standard Canon and potential Narrative Continuity is turning out to be harder than I thought.
(I know I'm going to build a KingCousland/LeliRomance/OGB World State in the Keep and given the characters in question just to see if anything interesting happens, I'm torn about that one too.

I was wondering about this... (free DAO) ... unfortunately my PC does not get here until the 16th! Talk about terrible timing! But I'm not sure I could ever get used to playing an RPG with a mouse and keyboard. Feels too mechanical! Been playing on consoles since I was a little kid; that's where it's at for me! About the only thing I can use mouse and keyboard is the Sims. And that's gonna be hard now b/c the PC will sit under my TV lol! I guess I can use a TV tray.
Hmm, well, you might be able to claim it through any computer that has Origins. You just need to log into your account, click on Origins, and say "yes, I want that!" then install it on your own computer when it gets to where ever you are. This is the nice thing about Steam/Origins, you don't need a physical copy, you can download it onto any computer you want. So, it's not really that big of impediment. All you need is a friend who is willing to let you borrow their computer and log in on your account. Easy. (Just remember to log out again afterwards.)
On the subject of a controller, I was that way too. My experiences were always with controllers and the idea of playing on a keyboard freaked me out. I worried it would be unfamiliar or too complicated but, while it did take a little getting used to, it turned out to be a lot of fun. Like I said, playing DA: Origins on a mouse and keyboard is an entirely different experience from playing it on the Xbox. Besides, once you get the hang of it, you'll be able to jump into the backlog of RPGs and a lot of the new isometric ones which don't work with a controller (and are pretty cheap!). Just think about it. If you hate it, then you hate it. Nothing lost.
