I think that Cullen is somewhat unlucky .He was terribly in love with my beautiful mage Regina in Dao, a love doomed from the beginning as it was forbidden. After the tower events he was so annoying and i hated him so much for his anti-mage believes (although i can understand him, he did go through a lot of pain).Then i Da2 he was talking about my cousin while my second female mage was in front of him. He was much more enjoyable as he was more understandable and mature about the mage conflict and way more reasonable. At the end he stood by my Hawke and helped a mage defeat the Knight Commander. And now in DaI the romance choices aren't that great (for now, maybe while playing they will become awesome, except Sera she is soooooo ugly) so he will be chosen to be my Regina's lover.

Just a suggestion, but you might consider phrasing things as "I'm not finding most of the choices to my taste right now, and I don't find Sera attractive myself" unless you want to get strong negative reactions from people who do like those characters. Lots of people find Sera and the other LIs attractive; attractiveness is subjective and personal, and it makes for a better conversation if everyone respects that.

My Hawke would bring her husband along to the Gallows to spend hours staring longingly at Cullen. Her luck was that Sebastian is oblivious enough and easily distracted by birds and stuff to never notice his wife gawking at the handsome Knight-Captain.

She was fine without sex, really, they always had other ways to share intimacy. My favorite part of MotA is that Sebastian's entire side quest runs down to him stealing recipes from all over the palace and putting together a cookbook and then getting a necklace that's called Gift of the Epicurean  - it gave me a lovely headcanon of Seb spending the nights at the Hawke manor cooking for her and experimenting with all sorts of new flavors and smells to play with Hawke's senses in the most, you know, epicurian way, and that sensory play basically being their version of sex. 

 

It's just that Cullen is so.... handsome. You don't just walk by that man and not gawk a little bit. I'll bet anything that, just as Hawke was eyeing the candy while Seb stared at the birds, Sebastian was stealing a few peeks here and there too when Hawke wasn't looking. Noodle-Captain's magnetism is too strong to resist.

 

And he's so... pettable, too. You look at him and you wanna pet his hair, his skirts, his... sword. His biceps. His glorious abdomen. Maker let me romance him I am dying here.

I think I'm biased about Cullen because I played a mage first in DA:O.

He was rather unlucky, falling for a mage and all the while he's a Templar.  Also, I never held his paranoia and hatred toward mages against him.  It was understandable with the torture that the demons were doing to him, demons that mages brought in the first place I might add.  They were corrupt mages, of course, but nobody knew what was going on in the tower at first.

 

Like you, I was pleasantly surprised by his more mature attitude to the situation.  He had changed and not in a terrible way either.  I kept wanting to talk to him more and more, but the limited dialogue options were having none of that.     I wanted to romance him / have him as a companion so bad!

 

Still no companion... but, a romance!  Which makes me happy.

I've kinda seen enough of the basic gameplay....I mean you kill one demon, you've killed em all. Unless they show a major boss or give me story info, this stream probably won't increase my enthusiasm.
