 I got a Qunari Warrior for Blackwall too! I feel like FemQunQuisitor is Blackwall's equal in every way. And I also have an Elvhen Archer for Solas. Great minds...

 

Just as proof, here are my character sketches for my Inquisitors (all 8). They vary in detail, as you might notice.

1. Qhulus Adaar - Male Kossith Rift Mage (American VA) Holds no pact with mages or templars, but enjoys being a mage, sees alliances as black and white, surprisingly gentle to the innocent - Iron Bull

 

2. Aryana Cadash - Female Dwarven Templar (American VA) {Axe and Shield} Warmonger, does not believe in the innocent, dislikes dwarfdom, wants to retire. Sees the warden's descent into depression and eventually suicide as proof that true dwarves stay out of the caste system. - Sera

 

3. Corynne Lavellan - Female Elvhen Assassin (British VA) {Archer} Scared of the tear and all it represents, loses faith in the gods after, wants everyone to work together, bit naive. The warden, who went on to rule Fereldan, is her idol. - Solas

 

4. Roran Trevelyan - Male Human Knight Enchanter (British VA) Diplomatic, Manipulating, Cunning, loves to fight, believes Mage/Templar war was inevitable, "aetiquarian", doesn't hate Templars, but realizes that the system is too flawed to be ever implemented well. - Dorian

 

5. Kataqun Adaar - Female Kossith Reaver (American VA) {2-hander} ?no horns? Unrelenting, a bit paranoid when it comes to traitors. Hates the Qunari specifically for what they stand for (renamed herself to mean 'die-qun'), anarchist. - Blackwall

 

6. Iron Cadash - Male Dwarven Tempest (American VA) {axe and dagger} "I want to go home." Sees himself as in over his head, makes rash decisions, pro-dwarf, sees Orzammar, and Cadash being a commendable 'warrior clan' as 'the glory days'. - Cassandra

 

7. Moira Trevelyan - Female Human Champion (British VA) {sword and shield} Wants to be diplomatic but not very good at it, relies on spies, very anti-chantry, but not pro-mage either, believes herself to be a rightful ruler. - Cullen

 

8. Rhinnon Lavellan - Male Elvhen Necromancer (British VA) Puts dalish first, very antagonistic towards non-Dalish and other mages. Sees human "mages" as thieves, works well with elves and the subservient, master manipulator when towards a destructive end for both parties. - Josephine (If she'll have him)

 

 

Haha, you have eight characters?  And they certainly seem fleshed out.  Cool!  I've only planned at least three playthroughs so far.

Name: Amara Trevelyan

Race: Human

Gender: Female

Class: Mage - Knight Enchanter

Personality: Diplomatic but with a joking flair.  She is uncertain how to consider the world calling her the "Herald of Andraste."  She doesn't know what to believe, but only time and experience will tell.

Romance: Cullen

 

My responses to certain decisions in the game will most likely vary, especially for a first playthrough.  Also, it depends on what the game gives me in the particular situations.  I usually try to do what's best for all parties involved or to remain neutral if I don't agree with either side.

Name: Meraad Adaar

Race: Qunari

Gender: Female

Class: Warrior - Champion or Templar

Personality: No nonsense, direct and to the point.  Yet, compassionate at times.  She thinks being called the "Herald" is utter nonsense, an empty title that grasps at intangible hope.  She plans to give the world something to really believe in--through action.

Romance: Blackwall

 

3.

Name: Eldwin Lavellan

Race: Elf

Gender: Female

Class: Archer - Artificer

Personality: Loyalist.  She finds the title of "Herald" amusing.  She's loyal to the Dalish and what they stand for. Her kind and rational personality sometimes prevails, however, giving her clarity beyond race.  The Keeper of her clan was realistic in her views on the politics and racial clashing of the world, and although taught this, her anger about shems sometimes overshadows her demeanor/decisions.

Romance: Solas

That stream was amazing without spoiling too much.

All the advisors are looking mighty fine and the dialogues were awesome. I was skeptic at first with Cullen redesign but he really looks good ingame, if not a bit shiny (must be the lightning) and actually younger than the previous games (but not to the extent of looking too boyish).

 

I can only imagine the squee fest going on here during the stream

 

I doubt I will do a playthrough to romance him but I'm looking forward to his banters/conflict with the other advisors. That small bit of dialogue between the four hyped me so much (oh, already said that).

I love how after Cullen's introduction there was a pause and then Cameron was like "... I can practically hear the squees" "Oh yeah, cause of Cullen. I know, right?"

 

Because I definitely made a little squee sound. And then thought immediately of my fellow Cullenites and had to come to this thread for the collective squee fest.

 

I absolutely loved the interactions the advisers had with one another and Cassandra. I was also a little surprised that Cassandra was pro-mage in the argument of augmenting the Inquisitor's fade mark. Poor Cullen ... all he ladies were ganging up on him. But he still handled himself well.

 

And now we know for sure Cullen is an ex-Templar, fully out of the Order (we didn't know that before, right?). But yes ... you can take him out of the Templars, but you can't take the Templar out of him. And I'm fine with that. I only ever intend to romance him as a mage and I see the most potential for character development when you and Cullen are constantly challenging the other's preconception of things. I like a little conflict and ruffling of feathers in my romance arcs. That was probably the only thing missing for me with Alistair's romance.

 

And I don't care if Cullen gives that look to every inquisitor when he meets them, I'm very much head-cannoning it as him giving the Inquisitor a once over. Glad I wasn't the only one to think that way either!

Yes, it was nice to know he's definitely out of the Templars by first meeting. But I'm not sure his argument was as much pro-Templar as it was a legitimate concern that magic might be the wrong tool in this case. After all, magic and mages tend to attract demons, the critters coming through the breach. I'm not sure we'll be able to tell until we talk to him more, though. I thought at first that the dalish elf was a mage, then realized that the KE we saw later was a different inquisitor he loaded, so the way he treated her doesn't tell us much.

I saw it very much as a "hey now, mages are still really dangerous ... not sure we want a whole bunch of them augmenting something we don't understand and potentially making it worse when we also have Templars to consider" kind of thing.

 

Mostly I just loved the back and forth between them all, and the devs/VAs have hinted at that being a constant throughout the game. I like what I've seen so far.

So, slightly OT, but my dalish warden was approaching the Tower of Ishal in Return to Ostagar with Shale, Leliana, and Morrigan, and for the first time I had neither Alistair nor Wynne in the party. And suddenly Loghaine is saying something about the tower. Um, I haven't confronted him in the Landsmeet yet (and if I had, it would be a ghost speaking). That's more surreal than Leliana giving me a breakup speech after the Landsmeet when I'd only romanced Alistair.

When I heard Cameron say that, all I could think of was the current Sprint commercial for the Iphone 6. You know the one, with the group of women squeeing over the phone and the plan. The one where glass starts breaking. This, my friends, is what the Cullenites were doing when he opened his mouth and started speaking. Or possibly when he just showed up on screen!

I caved and watched the clip, I'm so weak XD. I just wanted to see how many options to expect during the conversations. And I have to say I'm very, very happy at what I saw. The subtle animations! The choice! You also get asked how you feel! Well done Bioware! Oh and when Cullen looked the Inquisitor over...I'll admit I got a bit flustered

 

 

Please let that be unique to female elves and humans. Also I would love it if the other LIs had subtle animations like that, just to let you know they like what they see
