IKR my elf is gonna be like hehehe what can I do to really mess with them.
I fully intend to be incredibly rude to the Chantry, s'all good now the Divine has snuffed it!

A human mage might be underwhelmed by this pronouncement indeed.
Josephine: The Chantry has denounced this, and you especially.
Mage!quisitor: So what else is new?
I'm gonna go for the "that was quick" reply, sounds nice and snarky with a side order of "quelle surprise!"

Same, after what they did to my people! Revenge is sweet.
His question to the Inquisitor about being called the Herald did feel.. a bit.. flirty, I guess? But then this Inquisitor in this stream was an Elf Female (a race and gender he can romance).
In this sequence, will Cullen continue to "be nice" if the Inquisitor is a male? Will he be as cordial to a female Qunari? What about human female Inquisitor who is also a mage?
I think if he has a different approach to this encounter based on who your Inquisitor is (gender/race) then this also goes into how deep your character choices can be viewed.

I'm gonna be utterly ridiculous, if there's the option to be sarcastic/humorous and laugh at their expense then it's gonna happen. Don't get me wrong, I'm respectful to other people's beliefs, which means my me!Inquisitor will be too, but I'll be rude to the Chantry folk if they're gonna needlessly behave like a bunch of d!cks. I'm half expecting them to behave like the Citadel council in Mass Effect: "Ah yes, "Herald of Andraste", we have dismissed that claim."
... Who wants to place bets that one of them will say it! ![]()

I'm curious about that too. I'll be interested to hear back from people playing Inquisitor's that aren't the gender/race he'll romance to see if that's just his general relaxed manner of speaking, or if it was simply a case of "heeeello, nurse!" ![]()

I think it was more he recognised that it was a lot to take in and he was just trying to give her time to respond to it, more than flirting. I don't think it would be very different from a male prospective. He might not be as soft spoken with it though.
Now the first smile we got from him...yeah that could be a 'hello How you doin?...' ![]()

If they do say something like this and also do air quotes, I will die (of laughter). ![]()

Well I don't think his lines changed in DA2 according Hawke's gender. In DAO he was quite friendly and polite towards male mage Warden too. I think he will be quite polite no matter race and gender. Though he might comment something if Inquisitor is mage ![]()

True, but he wasn't romanceable in DA2. In DA:O his tone is drastically different with a female mage Warden than he is with a male mage Warden... not that he was rude to the male version, he was just more professional and when he did let his guard down it was a very "guy talking to a guy" tone, rather than the softer tone he took with the female.
Also, was it just me or did Mike's Elven Inquisitor look really strange, LOL!

It wasn't just you, lmao.
Gooooood! Some of the Inquisitors they've made have been hilarious, I think Beauty has been my favourite so far! ![]()

Yeah, I thought she looked a bit off too.
At least when Cullen gave the quizzy the once over he started at her head then looked down. I really hate men who start feet first...bonus points to Noodles.
Also when we reply to his question about the Herald title...I'm trying all of them...no weird chat surprises...who remembers Magistrate Vanard and the sarcastic Hawke comment that ended up totally unrelated to the prompt? Hamster juggling wasn't it? Sigh....
In general I'm leaning to 'unnerving' as I'm RPing an Andrastean Trevelyan who would see the title as uncomfortable but will be behind the whole give people hope idea.

I'm still not sure if that was purposely done or if the animation just looked like he was giving her the once over, LOL! Very forward of him if it was done purposely, wasn't expecting him to be that unsubtle!

I guess we'll know during a male inquisitor scene. Maybe it will be Cassandra and Josephine who check them ![]()
I'm so intrigued to see if he'll be awkward/flustered during the pursuit of his romance, he seems so confident now that I'm half expecting him to be quite the charmer. Personally I'd like to see some of that old flustered Cullen re-emerge in the early stages, especially if it's him trying to hide his feelings or whatever.

Josie is bisexual, so if that was the case she would have reacted the same to the female Inquisitor too.

True.
Well,Josie likes females as well so the fact that she doesn't check the quizy out, indicates that either the advisers react this way no matter what inquisitor you're playing...Or that Cullen is one unsubtle son of a nightmare, which is definitely not a bad thing to begin with! xDI guess we'll know during a male inquisitor scene. I love how open to interpretation his dialogue was, kinda like it was with Alistair with his introduction where you could never be sure if it was subtle flirting or not.
Sooooo....
This implies that Cullen will be checking out my insanely hot male inquisitor?
Head canon accepted.
Nothing wrong with a little art appreciation! I'm sure he can recognise beauty whether it's his type or not!
